to me its always the support stuff that has alot of the charm and charisma that some of the other designs dont seem to have, like the catapult either you love it or you hate it but you cant deny its got charm.
Hello CR At time chop 8:30, the Mech depicted is the LGB-12R, with 4 LRM-15 racks. This Mech happens to be one of my favorite variants of the Longbow series, even though it lacks Artemis fire control. 16 full salvos of LRM 'Rain' (60 missiles per salvo) is enough to put a damper on anyone's day. An ER Large, and an ER Medium laser, allows one to back out of range when your LRMs are depleted. I have a few other Longbow variants that I like, but I won't list them here at this time. Enough to say, that the Longbow has always been a 'fave' of mine, even back in the 'early years', without the higher tech upgrades. Longbows are very good at 3rd rank supportive fire, and 'raining' upon the Enemy's pointed little heads. Or, at least, that's been my experience with them. And yes, I use Awesomes as front line Mechs, and mostly use Warhammers to protect the Longbows.
Hey Critical since you covered this and the O-Bakemono I was wondering if you heard of the Orochi? It's a lesser known mech that was suppose to be a Longbow upgrade but it became a new product of its own.
It's not one I am familiar with but looking at the wiki it does say it's from one of the later TRO's so that will explain why I haven't heard of it before. It looks cool though and I will get to it down the line.
Was the Longbow one of the mechs that first appeared in a Mechforce UK record sheet book before popping up in TRO3058 a few years later? Or did I imagine that?
It was first shown in Sorenson's Sabres or possibly statted but as far as I know it has been seen many times or mentioned but it wasn't until TRO 3058 where it was finally added officially. Retroactively I know it was added to earlier TRO's but it has a weird publication history.
There's two Robotech ones... Well, one and a half at least. There's no proper Macross stuff out here *because* of Harmony Gold and their bullshit copyright trolling that has only recently been resolved
I have the Robotech miniatures game from Palladium games which went to hell not long after release. I only bought it for the Wasp, Stinger, Warhammer, Archer and Rifleman mini's you got out of it. Sadly the Marauder was to scale so the Glaug pod was massive haha.
No I am in favour of fire support units that are built for that role such as the Archer, Trebuchet, Awesome, Whitworth, Longbow etc. I'm not in favour of players taking something like the Atlas for instance and boating LRM's on it or a Dire Wolf with a ton of LRM 20's that sort of thing.
“Either your enemies will be a fireworks display, or YOU will be”- a rough description of the Longbow by an unknown mercenary.
The Marian Hegemony’s LGB-0H with ten Rocket Launcher 10’s in each arm and a PPC in each torso is a real hoot.
Potential 120 DMG??? Nice!
I love the Rocket launcher variants of mechs. especially the CPLT-H2 with it's 8 rl 20's.
The definition of the one pump chump but what a strike :D

I absolutely love the newest artwork and mini for this bad boi.
The new design is very good. The mini looks great as well.
Thanks for the lore keep it coming!
Will do :)

Yes it first appeared in Sorensens Sabres
Thought it was a goofy mech till i started playing with it. One of my favorite Missile Boats by far.
this thing is literally barrels of missiles :D
Always thought with those missile pod arms, that this could be a good Omnimech design.
This thing is my bane on tabletop.
The ONE BATTLEMECH i want in MWO.
It would be so easily ganked by lights but I would love to play the Longbow in MWO as well.
@@CriticalRocket The new Missle spam king.
a mech with two beer kegs for arms

Until the SALAMANDER!!!! LOL. The Awesome with LRMs.
Why we do not have a Marcoss strategy game I will never know, Golden Harmony is missing out.

I still enjoy calling it the phalanx wish it got more screen time in macross
The thing is a walking MML system, not much more to be said.
I luv me lurbow. Better than the Archer, I will fight over the subject.

So you support this mech go on MWO I remember you saying no they have too many fire support assault mech in MWO
