Man, that pic at 19:06 would give Escher nightmares! I love that Spidey just dissolves into laughter when he first meets The Spot. Talk about an ultimate diss!
So my favorite thing about the spot has to be him recollecting his spots he threw everywhere. I just imagine him counting all the dots making sure he gets all of them
Considering that he was able to move the spots on his body into one giant spot on this chest, you would think he would be able to call all the thrown spots back to him instead of having to walk around and pick them all up.
Hello Sasha, first time commentator. loved this video. you made me laugh so much. i remember reading this arc and you've made me appreciate it even more. THANKS!!

Which one? There are 2 of them. The two little-people who merge into one being from Denny Oneill run, or the guy who can duplicate any powers from Paul Jenkins' run?
I agree, The Spot has a lot of potential, particularly in how fearsome he could be thematically with clever use of his theme and powers. He can even look very cool, like seen at 19:13
I really want them to do the spot in the “into the spider-verse” sequel. I think his look and powers would translate perfectly to that animation style!
You got your wish. He just got announced for it!
Your a visionary
Good news. It's confirmed that Spots appeared in Across the Spider-Verse.
You were so right
Bro was typing this from the writing team lol
As someone who was introduced to The Spot in the 90s series as a kid, I always loved this character and his power set. I also remember feeling very sad for him in that show. I think he was doing the experiments to earn money for his wife or something. But yeah, underrated character.
His powers in the hands of a competent villain would be a problem for a lot of Heroes
I'm sorry but that first cover you showed is still in my head. "Enter the hermit "? I want to know what that's all about.
Also that wig is on point.
I'm sure he'll have his time in the SPOTlight one day
Across the Spider verse movie
The day as come.
Spot got tired of being called the villain of the week in Across the Spider-Verse.
I think this was one of my favorite episodes. I'm almost done but I've been smiling the whole time. Well done. And what a cool character...I don't remember him... Weird...
Thanks for doing this video, I was one of those who requested it after your Polka Dot Man episode.
Same.
Ah the Spot. One of my favorite unsung villains. You should do The Answer. I still confused how his powers work exactly.
LUISPRIME
Who? The Answer? Well, see, he don't like Zap! That leaves the Answer with Bang an Boom, which severely limits his plots, an, whoops, ZZAAPPPP!!!! Kathump.
Uh-oh. Kwik, pump I'm back up!
Fssssssss........
Try Harder!!!
But no, the Answer hadda be carted off.
Eek! Who's gonna be scared of That??!! ZAP gets I'm? Really?
Dang.
I think it's just whatever he needs. An "answer" to his problems.
Anybody come back here after seeing Spider-Verse 2?
Me
Me
He’s actually cool imo just very underrated.
Actually, I'd be able to understand the cameras showing the black on white, if the spots covered enough of the lens that it was within Spotland, it would mostly show just, well, Spotland, and the occasional glimpse of Spidey zipping between spots on occasion.
What do you mean by worst, kangaroo man is the worst 🤣🤣
Typeface would like to have a word with you.
"He was lucky to escape without being animal themed" I mean he's called spot maybe he's themed after a pet dog
"Nobody thinks you're a joke!"
*They won't.*
Imma be real: first thought I have when starting up a CC vid is "What wig is Sssha going to rock in this one?" XD
The Spot had his best moments in the Winter Soldier mini series by Kyle Higgins.
I imagine a mulleted individual in a polo shirt (with the collar popped up) was coked up whilst watching "Yellow Submarine" on VHS and during the "I've got a hole in my pocket" sequence decided, "Whoa, that'd be a *totally awesome* super-power!"(it was the 80s after all)
The Hypno - Hustler and Big Wheel are pretty darn awful.
Ah yes, those 1970s villains. The Kangaroo, too, was from that era. Prowler turned out to be pretty cool, though.
Rocket racer and slyde aren’t so great either
@@jamesdent9057 Slyde and the Family Stone? #dadjoke HA. Rocket Racer.. ha cashing in the roller skating fad. He is almost as absurd as having an incredibly powerful cosmic being who flies around on a surfboard. :) See, some get sort of redeemed.
Just stumbled across your channel! You could say I'm glad I "Spotted" it! Fun stuff!
Glad I spotted this video in My notifications.
Ngl I would NOT sacrifice my life for Pakistan
Imagine the spot closing holes when people were partially in, severing their limbs and keeping them inside the spot dimension, until eventually the spot dimension is crowded with body parts to the point where he can't really move through it and his holes just constantly leak rotted gore
Back after Across the Spiderverse
This is an actual example of when creator's ( literally ) pull ideas out of a hat as a last resort 😂
amazing powers
Maybe so, but The Spot is pretty awesome. Sometime's the most hilarious, unlikely, unusual, random ideas are the most awesome. Lol
I sympathize, I've often been corrected on my last name. (Cann - sometimes as in tin "can", or comic "con".) Possibly because I've lived in the US and Great Britain. (England, Australia, and even Toronto, in the 60's.)
And the "Spot" is a weird character, but I like weird. (But I think I draw the line at Arm-Fall-Off-Boy.)
As always, thank you so very much for your videos.
Never heard of Arm Fall Off Boy. Lol That sounds real stupid, but it may be good. I have to check it out.
Shirtless Bear Fighter sounds pretty hilarious too. However, it's actually a pretty good comic book.
Omg I was actually hoping that you would cover this character!! I was first introduced to The Spot from the 90’s Spider-Man The Animated Series cartoon and I always thought his powers were really cool and I liked his costume a lot.
i heard he is the villain into spider verse 2
14:59 When Red skull got his Steve-Clone body he routinely hired the bottom of Taskmaster's classes to spar with. And he murdered them every time like 5-6 at a time.
Who else hear to learn about him for spider man across the spider verse
Hi, Sasha.
I know that this is a weird one, but thank you.
You remind me so much of my daughter, who lives on the other side of the world and that I don't get to see very often.
She, too, is a comic fan.
Nothing inside of your control. I really do enjoy your show (?).
Thank you.
You predicted this new movie lol 😂
THANKS!!
Welp, Across the Spiderverse definitely fixed that
Rather new to your channel and absolutely loving it! Fabulous work and greetings from Steven in the UK.
I like The Spot (Marvel) better the Mr. Polka Dot (DC).
Same
Definitely
Impossible
No one asked?
Why?
I really love the way you talk. It's not just the voice and tone but how you say things, just makes everything more lively and interesting. How you haven't been discovered to be on TV hosting shows and stuff is beyond me cause I think you can just be talking nonsense and gibberish and I will still be there listening... lol Do you just come up with the stuff you say on the fly or do you have to spend a while to write a script? I am trying to look at the reflection on your glasses to see if you are reading from any prompter or notes but can't tell... Either way, you are a talented speaker definitely..
Jonathan Ohnn, The Spot.
It's not a long leap to say it's probably based on Johnny On The Spot.
FWIW, the Question and The Answer are shown tussling for a panel in the big battle at the end of JLA/Avengers.
