I'm going to be honest, I'm personally not a fan of Brazil, but when I look at them - I don't think there's any other squad in the 2022 World Cup that is as overall complete as Brazil. Never has a Brazilian squad in the last decade looked as promising as this. And with their incredible form as of late along with insane chemistry and deep bench, able to have a variety of lineups and play styles - it looks like they might just be unstoppable. So does brazil have what it takes to go all the way and secure the world cup trophy?

The fact Brazil can bench 2 of arsenals best players that have helped them maintain top of the premier league just shows their strength in depth

Brazil couldn't endure without Neymar and Thiago Silva in 2014 but now they have good players even on the bench. In my opinion Brazil is favorite to win this World Cup because they have an advantage over every other favorite. They are in a better form than Portugal, have less injuries than France and wider bench than Argentina which is being carried by Lionel Messi for the 3rd World Cup.

I think what Brazil has that other countries don’t is the fact that almost everyone in the team is coming to the tournament being in their best form of their careers and also the fact that most of the players can create their own moments.
The Chemistry also isn’t a bad thing , Marquinhos and Silva have played together for 4 years going to the UCl final in their last year together, Eder and Case played two seasons together and won a UCL in the same spine, Vini and Rodrygo link up well with the midfield and Neymar is in the form of his life.
A lot of players from Brazil are DEFINITELY NOT in the best forms in their carreer, and that is almost 80% of the players who are not in their prime

Paquetá is anything but average. He was our main creative outlet against Switzerland and created several chances for our wingers.

I think one of the reasons Brazil is so strong is that 1. Reliable defence and 2. From the midfield up, they have players who can all dribble at least 2 people and can all worrie the keeper if given a chance, add the fact that they have an extremely aggressive bench in the sense of attack, and Brazil are a massive threat.

Yeah I don’t really see any team that could play as convincingly as Brazil… Argentina falls short a lot of times, France is not as good, Netherlands are not proficient and probably did not even deserve to pass… If an underdog manages to win against them (which is unlikely but who knows), it would be more impressive than Saudi Arabia having won against Argentina

I think Brazil, Argentina and France are the 3 most likely teams to win this cup. I may be biased, since I am Brazilian but I do think we are the favorites. I am not trying to dismiss the other countries but I honestly believe no one has a more well rounded team than us. I am a bit scared of Argentina though. Even though Messi is doing the heavy lifting, I never saw them as motivated as they are, their post-game against Australia was pretty scary. I never saw Messi that involved with the crowd and the team. And although underated, the psychological factor is always relevant in any big tournament, either for the good or for the bad. But at the end of the day it’s the World cup, favorites are just speculations but anyone can win. Heck, maybe the winner will be Netherlands and a new legend will be formed (I do not believe that whatsoever but it’s not a 0% chance).

Tafarel and Zinho to name two, the way Tafarel speaks of Alisson, who he coaches in Liverpool and for the Selecao is incredible, it’s like he’s mesmerized. Also we have some high class U-23 like Nino & André (Fluminense, former Richarlison team), João Gomes and Matheuszinho (Flamengo), Danilo& Gabriel Menino (a few caps each), Giovani, Estevão and Luis Guilherme (from Palmeiras).

For my money I think Brazil, France, and Argentina are the three best teams left in the WC. But out of those three, only Brazil could theoretically win the entire WC without their best player. Their squad is the deepest by far. France maybe could match them in overall talent, but if Mbappe were to miss any time, they would lose that fear factor and a lot of their bite on the attack. Argentina has finally developed a squad thats not entirely dependent on the magic of Leo Messi. But even then, as with Mbappe, Argentina would lose a lot of their potency if Messi were injured. I want Argentina to win (being a huge Messi fan), but it would not surprise me if Brazil flatlined everyone once Neymar returns to win the WC. Probably the most overall talent theyve had since 2002.

Yeah, I totally agree. Brazil could suffer with a defesive-minded or couter-attacking focused France, Argentina or Spain. Their speed may outmatch the brazilian defense. In the other hand, Switzerland proved to have more defense prowess than the last 3 teams.

When you struggled hard to score a goal in group stage and when I saw Portugal routed Switzerland 6-1 while Brazil only scored 1 goal against Switzerland that's how I know Brazil got a big problem in this WC. I couldn't process how this team full of stars struggled to score many goals. This is not how world champion play. Individual teams may only have single number of star players, Other teams may just have 11 star players, some stronger team might looking at 15-16 star players, while brazil is looking at all 26 star players. with the additional rule change, allowing teams to sub 5 instead of 3, Brazilian national team is looking very scary this year. But again, this year’s world cup is full of surprises and upsets, we have to wait and see.
