    Customer service at ChiLED has been out of this world. I was trying to decide which light to buy. Electric Sky, HLG, or this Growcraft X3. They're all respectable lights, everyone knows that. The reason I am choosing Growcraft is quality and ergonomics of the design . Most lights, if you have a problem, you have to take the entire light off line or replace the entire light. These lights are different that way. If you have an issue, you simply remove the bad bar, replace or repair it and you can still keep using your light. If you are on a budget. You can buy the X2 and later on buy another bar and then you have an x3. There is an X3 300 watt and 500 watt...I hope I can afford the 500. They're also having a big sale right now, around 25-30% off all lights

    • @timpage5021
      @timpage5021 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ I definitely agree its pricey but it's got some great features built into too while others dont at the same price point. Dont get me wrong I totally understand what you're saying. I feel the same way about the HLG 550V2 R/SPEC I paid over 900$ for. Felt like a real ass after i did a side by with 2 SP250S. Each 4×4 grew 2 Pakistan Valleys. The plants under the SP250s just grew better from jump and while I did receive 7 or 8 grams more outta the r/spec tent it's not worth the extra 400$ and the quality of medicine was better under the SP250s. Now maybe it's just that particular strain liked the SP250s cuz Pakistan Valley is a pure landrace indica and does good in cooler climates. Because man the r/spec just puts out the heat. But I'm also a best bang for the dollar guy too while trying to be efficient and yet effective as possible. I'm an old head grew my 1st harvest in 91under magnetic ballasts and HIDs. Switched over to LEDS about 8 years ago. Buying lights and putting em through the paces and tearing em down and trying to improve upon them has become another hobby altogether now. Anyways sorry for the long reply. Bored and lifted at home hold up inside now cuz all the BS going on. Stay safe and stay lifted. And thanks for taking the time to reply especially after you've already checked out the Photobio. Most don't even know who Sananbio are and yet they're the largest vertical farming industry in the world. They're radix design is pretty rad as well. They're doing big things.

    The 660 logic is not considered a new generation. Gen1 fixtures had honeycomb shaped heatsinks and pcbs with fewer, higher power diodes. The Samsung lm561c helped inspire their second generation. These started as commercial fixtures then DIY. The chilled logics were in between gen2 and 3. Chilled Growcraft is their 3rd generation, making DIY mainstream with their plug in play features and power distribution board.

    I don’t like to buy lights that don’t list the diodes manufacturer. With that being the most important aspect of a led growlight. For all we know they could be using off brand cheap diodes and overcharging us. I was very interested in buying one till I found out they won’t tell ya what diodes they use.

    • @johnadams3800
      @johnadams3800 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, because companies such as Chilled and Nanolux, who have spent years building up stellar reputations and tons of R&D money are culminating to their clever masterplan of producing lights with cheap and unreliable components in order to tank their names. That's some brilliant defection there, genius! Or, just maybe, as the ever widening field of grow light manufacturers making rigs with nearly identical components continue to flood the market at a geometric rate, those companies staying ahead of the curve are starting to see the value in keeping certain design stratagies a little closer to the vest than before.

    • @johnadams3800

      @@pb3426 I'm wondering if those are the same diodes that the nanolux ledex series are using. They will not disclose what diodes they are using either, it the drivers for that matter (though i suspect they are making those in-house, as they do so many other components). I'm purchasing 24 ~600-700 watt rigs this month coming, and Im having a hard time choosing between the growcraft x6 (diy), the nanolux ledex 6 bar, and the thinkgrow-W. I've tested the nano in my room with the apogee, and its real solid build, runs super cool, an extremely versatile design, rj11, and it's backed by nanoluxes 5 year warranty... which is nothing to sneeze at. At 18", It was averaging 1050 in the center to 600s at the corners. Nonetheless, I'm thinking I want the growcrafts, as I've had great success with the 10kw of logic V2 pucks. The quality choices are getting really crowded in the led world now, it's almost maddening.

      @Soulfood22 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      X6 1000w for sure but you can't compare both lights anyway. X6 has 1000w and the ROI E680 only has 680w.

      The 3 bar 330watt model would be perfect. Or you could go 500w and chase that yield!👍🏻😀

      Always use an exhaust fan set up to CO2, this is the complete deal, exhaust excess heat then injects CO2 works great.BadMF

    Man can you do a review on the side farmer sf4000..? I'd really appreciate if you did and I'm sure others would too. Its the one I've been looking at. I'd like to get the Next Light Mega but I don't got $1500 to spend on a light lol.

      The chilled led x6 600w is way better than the mega I’m every way the only thing the mega has is you can have it pretty close without burning the gavita is the same aswell but the chilled beats gavita aswell in my opinion and its only 900 dollars for the x6 diy but you get no warranty hope this helps you

    They don't list the diodes Because they use old technology in order to make money!! Classic. If you got it you flaunt it. Sounds like they are not using the best which is Samsung lm301h. Something we shouldn't have to deal with as Rapid LED is an American Company. Chinese LED companies are more honest than these guy! that's too bad.
