Anything that is constructed from structural shapes would be a good fit. Architectural structures can be designed this way along with oil rigs and skids, equipment frames and support structures.
Answered the question I came here for, perfectly! I'm guessing that future releases "may" eventually be furnished with additional functionality that will make traditional weldments redundant. Although Inventor uses solid geometry to create edges for base geometry, I've never used the same principle for my Solidworks clients and now I ask myself why? 3D sketching can get particularly convoluted and time-consuming at times.
i guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Byron Luca Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I had to laugh a little, I'm testing Structure Systems on 2023 SP1 and my biggest gripe is as soon as I change a member, my corner profiles, cut order, etc all gets wiped out. So a simple 1x1.080 to 1x1x.125 forces me to redo all my work again. Nice idea, but the whole interface is still a dumpster fire 3 years later.
Version 2023 made a lot of big changes, including the ability to use individual weldment profiles instead of configured ones. Any major feature changes can be prone to issues, I highly recommend reporting it to your reseller so the developers can know who it is affecting. Great lecture! I am using SW'19 and see the "profile misalignment" often in the Structure System as noted at TimeStamp 18:00 .... th-cam.com/video/3EJiPoYYkx4/w-d-xo.html Is there a fix or workaround for SW 2019?
To find out if your behavior is a known issue and in what version it was patched would be the perfect use of tech support. If you are an MLC CAD Systems customer on active subscription you can reach out any time and we will be happy to track that down for you!
what's the usage of structure system? Architecture?
