  • Failure sucks! But what if you're failures meant you were getting better? Maybe that would change your perception of failure and what it really means to fail. I hope me sharing my thoughts on this topic helps you to think about your failures differently. Thanks for watching!

AaronFilms man thank you so much for this. We often beat ourselves up for failing but don’t accept that we learn from our mistakes. I needed to hear this message like right now to pick myself up and start over. Keep on motivating us my friend.

PBY Media wow! Thank you so much!!! I’m glad I could help. I would’ve never thought so many people would have found this helpful but I’m really glad you did! 🤘🎥😊

Dude, you hit the nail on the head with this one! I was feeling this this morning actually. Been struggling as a creative lately. You know how it is.

Pear's Studio embrace the struggle man! It will get better if you stay the course. I’m still feeling in a bit of a funk even after creating this but you have to keep going and keep creating! Good luck with everything your working on!

AaronFilms Oh I’m embracing the struggle like a bullfighter that takes down the bull with aggressive hugging. Why??? Cause it’s all a load of bull. Lol! We do it to ourselves as creatives. We push, rush, and critique ourselves into perfection. We question our failures as well as or talents and successes. We forget that we just need to breathe and take a step back sometimes. Regrouping and replanning our way of attack on our projects is also part of the fight. One of the hardest things to do as a creative is not be so hard on ourselves. Don’t strive for perfection, strive for creative satisfaction. And yes, we can find the satisfaction in knowing that we learned something in the process. Stay strong my friend, don’t forget the breathe.

I’ve always heard that failure is a key to success.... but I’ve never heard anyone say “failure means you are getting better” I LOVE the way you put that!!! 👍

Crusader glad you liked it! I’m no expert on this stuff I just know how I was feeling about it.

Love this. reminds me to trust the process. a significant take away from this for me was the part where you said, "go fail at something". I've failed on projects in the past and they indeed have made me a better creator. keep up the dope content!

Daniel Santos dude thanks for the comment! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I plan to make more videos like this. People really seem to enjoy them and I love helping people get better and to think more about the process and be okay with the crappy things that we all experience.

Your videos are great. I don't usually comment on anything, but this time I am.
There's something about your videos that is different from other TH-cam channels. You get straight to the point and your way of talking is so down to earth.
Thank you for posting this, as a filmmaker who is just starting out, its really nice hearing that when I encounter a difficulty, people have gone through it time and time again, and now it is my turn to go through it. Started watching from the Viltrox tripod video which was also very informative.
    Keep it up! :)

Gregory Maggi thank you man! I’m sorry I didn’t see this comment till now!!! TH-cam didn’t notify me 🤦‍♂️
You are absolutely right in the fact that we encounter difficulties and mental blocks that everyone goes through, but sometimes it’s hard to remember that in the moment. Just push through it and keep your motivation for doing what you do and you’ll overcome the setback and be better for it in the long run! 😜

Know how you feel I've sat down to film my rig about 3 times and each time I've come away, review the footage and its meh, been for a nice walk and stumbled on a nice spot and thought damn thats a nice place to film it at, relaxing, not forced so will be at it again re filming.
Keep at it man, just subbed

Yeah man! Sometimes it just falls into place naturally and works out. Thanks for the comment and sub!!!

It reminds me of something Stephen R. Covey said:
A plane is off course at least 90 percent of the time. Weather conditions, turbulence, and other factors cause it to get off track. However, feedback is given to the pilot constantly, who then makes course corrections and keeps coming back to the exact flight plan, bringing the plane back on course.

Great video man. I think being able to learn and grow is essential in being creative. Plus this way you learn to not do what caused you to fail for the future.
