Seth is not that important. The key secondary pieces are Royce O'Neal, TJ Warren and Simmons.
I don't know if there's really anything to dissect in what KD has said. I felt like he was pretty straight forward with his answers about the future and what he believes should be ideal for a healthy working place, instead of making empty promises of staying forever or winning tons of rings. He also talked very highly about the teams he played for in the past, so... I'd advise anyone to watch the full interview, unless you want to keep this drama narrative going on inside your heads.

@CH then he should shut up about how much he contributed in his three years. He talks like he saved the team in his three years. He sat on the bench most of those three years so his "contributions" were minimal. But he did contribute to the dysfunction of the team and he contributed to the team being swept in the first round of the playoffs during which he could not stop dribbling the ball of his foot and turning the ball over.
@CH he led for maybe two seconds. Then, when healthy he was swept in the first round because he couldn't stop dribbling the ball off his foot and turning the ball over. Curry led the mvp race too but he went on to win another chip and won fmvp.

I think if they want to win a championship, as i saw the roster that they have currently, they need a starting center, cause Claxton (with the respect to him) is not a starting center. He is very solid BACKUP center. They have him and Day'ron Sharpe. If we're looking at championship contenders centers, we can see something. In that position they are the weakest center squad. Even Simmons if he's gonna play at this position (when it comes to small ball) is not that they're looking for.
Anyone who thinks that Ben Simmons can play center after an 18 month layoff and back surgery is being unrealistic. He can't bang against Embiid, Adebayo, J. Allen, Giannis, etc. all season. He hasn't played the position. And the Nets can't play Claxton and Simmons at the same time, not enough shooting.
@CH I love your optimism, and I hope the Nets make it work. But while Simmons will probably be adequate in the regular season, the playoffs will be a different story. Nets are the boom or bust team this year.

Bc Giannis will attempt a shot beyond 3 feet from the hoop and isn’t scared to shoot. Simmons free throw shooting makes him less likely to be physical near the basket and at this point I’ll believe he’ll ever shoot jumpers when I see it

2) I agree that the Nets are a really good team shoot i have been screaming that the D is gonna be legit and that offense can be great. That's the problem tho with the nets its 3 years of maybe if coulda shoulda. The fact also is that they are small and their rim protection is not great that is a fact having smaller players bang with bigger stronger players (ala kevins injury where he had to guard C's) can cause injuries and wear and tear on the body. It's why players like AD out right refuse to play C.
I am not saying they can't win it all as constructed I am not even saying the 76ers or bucks would beat them (tho i think the bucks would) I am saying id feel a lot better if they had someone like Turner to give them real rim protection and can step out and knock down shots.
@@dustinsirois4788 the Nets centers are terrible and don't fit with Simmons. The problem is getting a shooting center without trading away needed players. I would do Curry and Patty plus a pick for Myles Turner. The alternative is Harris plus a pick but Harris is a better defender than Curry and Patty. They could also do Cam Thomas for Isaiah Jackson as an alternative to Turner. Isaiah Jackson is Myles Turner's understudy and can do most of what Turner can do for a fraction of the price. Other shooting centers include Jalen Smith and Olynik. You either get a shooting center or Simmons plays the 5 and you surround him with floor spacers.

When you have a big three someone usually takes a backseat and their scoring dips, they have to focus on the dirty work, defend, and make plays… but that’s exactly what Ben is elite at. I don't really agree about the Celtics Nets series being "KD vs the entire Celtics team", if he played like the superstar he is during G1 and G2 they take at least one win (he's guilty on Tatum's game winner in G1) and he had like 8 FGA on G3. Yes, the Celtics were great during that series and knew how to beat the Nets, and even if KD played better the Nets would probably have lost anyway but that's still embarassing for a top 10 player itl to average 22ppg on 43% FG when your team needs you the most

2. They will stay good enough to appear dominant get the playoffs and get beat out in the first or 2nd round due to bad coaching
3. Off court drama will consume the play if they are losing despite no continuity (bad coaching) and too many Alpha's not playing team ball

I don't get comments about Ben Simmons answers. What did you expect, to tell you exact number of threes he will shoot? It has to be tongue in cheek answers after all he has gone through.
My problem with this is he used to say the warriors system doesn't work, but then makes this claim. The system is for the non super star players to be productive. Super star players go beyond the Xs and Os. Then you said you didn't need a coach and you and Kyrie Irving could be the coach, well new coach Iso ball doesn't work out side of top 20 NBA talent.
