I'm 39 and pregnant. 12 weeks and healthy so far. First pregnancy. I can understand the alarm when people say "oh your over 35, it's impossible or you can't." Im here to say that's not the truth. You can get pregnant anytime as long as two things are in occourance. your health (eating and staying healthy) and as long as you have a regular cycle. I walked regularly, ate plenty of veggies, and made sure my health was up to date by doctors years before I started trying to conceive. It took us 2 months. I understand everyone's bodies are different as far as egg count and whatnot, but I hope this helps someone out there. One thing I can say, especially if you are not already preparing your body to conceive, a later age CAN make it more difficult. But NOT impossible.
I just turned 38 last week and I’m absolutely taking time to improve my lifestyle. Stopping drinking, eating better and working out before I go back to the fertility clinic
I like the positive and encouraging tone in your videos towards us "older" women trying to conceive! They've been some comfort to me while TTC. I'm 41, and finally got a positive test a few days ago, after trying since October after a miscarriage. My AMH was tested to be 5 in January, FSH was 9. Too early to tell if this pregancy will end well, but just wanted to thank you for your videos! :)
Thank you thank you THANK YOU for taking the time to put out such educational and uplifting content. I'm 38 and we just lost our baby girl on February 21st at 19 weeks gestation for no known cause (they suspect egg quality?). The next day, I found your TH-cam channel. I've literally sat at my laptop and bawled (happy tears) from the hope you provide. I'm currently on the sixth week of following just about every piece of advice you have given- which was a HUGE change- addressing gut health, my thyroid issues, asking doctors for tests (and purchasing some myself), complete diet change, supplements, toxin removal etc... In about two months, we'll be trying again. I don't have a question other than to tell you THANK YOU for being a beacon of light during my darkest time.
I’m 38 I’m going to be trying to be a mum try have a baby naturally pray to God that I become a mum I will be doing everything I can putting my time in now I’m keeping a positive mindset i will get pregnant
Thanks for those words they give me hope am 38 and trying to conceive my husband and I went to the gynecologist today we are about to start our journey first with some blood test that or doc said we need to get done and also a tube test which will be done after my next period it’s very expensive doing all this but am praying that we can put the money together to go through this it’s hard but am a put my all in this cuz am getting older smh
Time is the hardest thing. Started trying at 37 and now halfway to 40. My fertility clinic just wasted my time so I have am working with a private facility but it's like starting from scratch. Exhausting.
hi how are you now, i suggest to add prayers on your list... avoid stress and eat healthy.. im 40 and currently 4 months pregnant with my first baby...
Hi my name is Abby I like your comment I started trying at 34 for number 3 but it's really stressful now trying everything but nothing help and went to different doctors but no help all of them said the same things but now I change myself to be better and eating healthy as well I am turning 41 this year I hope all my prayers come true my first 2 children was healthy I had both healthy pregnancy I will keep you in my prayers as well both of need to be positive as well
Ill be 38 in September and we have a 17 year old and decided 6 years ago to try for another I have PCOS and my husband has low motility...we are still trying but i really needed this video because i feel so old TTC 😢
@Justsweet02 my gyno requested it after she performed an Hsg on me and I had no blockage of any kind so she mentioned the only thing she think id could was hubby.
Thank you for a great video! We were recently struggling. I get why my PCP & OBG doesn't want to prescribe meds that will help, yet push me towards a fertility specialist but I'm exhausted already. Even though we've given up, videos like yours make me happy that many out there are still pushing through & have a positive attitue through the process. Not everyone can afford even the initial consultation visit but those who are blessed to, I wish all the luck to you & your family! ❤❤❤❤❤
So I’ve never ever ever been pregnant before and never wanted to have a baby. Ever. It was never in my plans. Let me tell you how I got pregnant! My doctor prescribed me 50,000 units of vitamin D for an vitamin D deficiency I had and bam. I got pregnant just like that! I’ve been reading this has happened to alot of people! If you are trying to get pregnant and your doctor okays this. Try it!
Thanks for the great content Dr! I want to know what is your standard tests that you usually rrcommend with all 40year old patients before an FET? I had a failed FET cycle but my dr didn’t recommend any tests prior. I read up afterwards and realised there are many tests and procedures that he could have recommended to decrease chances of failure. Feels like he wasted precious time and our money!
I am 37 years old, still trying to conceive we have done some tests fallopian tubes uterus ultrasound still nothing pray for me hopefully next day I conceive, I've never been pregnant before😢😢
My amh is 0.55.iam getting married 12 yrs. Not i am pregnant. My hubbies age is 50 & 38 is mine. I have already pcod patient. Is possible natural pregnancy.
Please look into taking Myo Inositol. Because you mentioned having PCOS... it is a supplement that helps those with Diminished Ovarian Reserve and low AMH. Your husband will benefit from fertility boosters such as extra vitamin C, Zinc. Look up the information on Myo Inositol and DHEA. He also talks about it here in this channel too .
Helo doc am from India and iam 39 yrs old trying for baby .I have all test done my problem is that i have only 4 egg left so thts the reason of infertility.
Dr Sklar, Love your content! it has been so educational! Can you explain what may cause delays in a cycle? Soon to be 36, I have been tracking my cycle for about 2 months to get more familiar with it. Cycle usually varies between 30 - 33 days. This month I noticed I got my LH peak on day 19, but my BBT didn't peak until day 24 (5 days later). It was a slow progressive rise in temp. Is there anything I can do do bring ovulation closer to day 14? Should I be concerned about ovulating later in cycle? Should I test hormones just in case?
How are you doing? Have you taken myo-inositol powder 3 grand divided into 3? Heard this improves egg quality and helps period to resume and helps ovulation out. Dr mark sklar has talked about it before
Hi..pls notice me...i was diagnosed with endometriosis 2019...and i got laparotomy but sad to say, they didn't able to remove the cyst because of adhesion to my intestine...now i am taking visanne pills for 3months... can i be able to get pregnant after this?is there any hope that we can remove the cyst?🥺
I am 38 and I have two grown daughters 18 and 20 and now I want another baby definitely need a boy but I haven't had a baby since my younger daughter which is 18 and I'm having problems and struggling with getting pregnant it seems like it's been a year or more what should I do
I have a molar pregnancy in 2015 . I am currently 38 and I turn 39 in a couple of months . On all three of my pregnancy’s I had placenta previa and I have incompetent cervix. My first pregnancy was successful after surgery ( shirodkar/cerclage). I miscarried the other two and the third was the molar pregnancy . How likely is is for me to have a successful pregnancy at 39 or 40?Everytime I go to the clinic I am terrified because they always say ohhh you have to avoid getting pregnant it is too much risk .
Wow dr I never knew almost/or 50% of fertility issues are because of the sperm. We tend to believe and hear that it’s mainly a female issue so this is super eye opening ! Thanks for the information:)
I wonder if the ovulation test are accurate I took the ovulation test best on the date of my calendar but so far the tests are coming out negative maybe I have low quality eggs? And I am 36 trying to conceive.
@KC The thing I realised when I started looking into hormone-disrupting toxins was that they are EVERYWHERE. Two areas that will make a big difference is your kitchen and your make-up. Both have a lot of phthalates and PFOAs. Stop using anything with perfume. Turn off your WiFi and put your phone on airplane mode when you go to bed. I thought this stuff was crazy before but it's real. It's so sad that we aren't protected better from this stuff.
I have a question...if the Dr or ANYONE can answer. . . I stupidly let an abusive relationship and the person I was with talk me into tying my tubes. I have regretted it from the beginning. But now I am in a happy and healthy relationship and am 38,have had the filshie tubes for 10 years almost 11...is there ANY hope at all? I want the clips off of my Tubes. I have had health issues since as well as regret. But I would ALSO love to experience having a baby with the most wonderful guy in the world 😊 . . . Does anyone have experience with this ? Thank you!!!
I am 39 year old now and I had six abortion in my young age I have tried everything to get pregnant but nothing happened am I still have chance to get pregnant
If you have any doubts and your core focus is to just get pregnant I would say looking at a ivf through a referral to a fertility clinic by your G.P before you hit 40 and no longer are eligible for funding would be 1 option to ponder on pending on where you live..
This is for all feminists that can't keep a man from 20 something 😂😂😂. There are not lots of things right now that you can do to get pregnant. And remember that your kid will see you die at a very Young age if you give birth over 35. Keep that in mind 😛
I'm in my 40s and my parents are in their 70s. They had kids over 35 and were together for a long time before they had babies (3). Don't belive all the stories the Internet tells you.
Some women actually aren’t feminists and have fertility issues. Way to step on all of their toes. Also.. my grandmother lived a very long time and had my mother at 43. You sound angry and dumb.
Huh? This doesn’t make sense. If you take care of yourself you can live long enough to see your grand kids . I am 37 and my father is 76. Having a kid in your late 30s isn’t that “old” Later 40s to 50s is a bit different .
