Dear Alice, 3 months ago i got tinnitus and all because of your videos I believed i would get better and i can say that i’m doing a lot better now. You’ve been such a great help in my journey to beating anxiety that came with my tinnitus. Thank you for everything ❤ (PS: don’t mind my bad grammar 😅)
That makes me so happy to read. It means the world to me to be able to help people like you in this difficult journey through anxiety and tinnitus. I am so happy for you! You’ve got this 🙂
I need this information to help me along my journey with tinnitus, your videos have been a great comfort to me, and I appreciate you dedicating your time and energy into making this content, as I definitely need it. I will continue to rewatch this video and the ones you’ve made previously. Thanks Alice, for showing the mindset and study that will help me to heal and recover.
Thanks for your positivity. It's strange but, after nearly a year since being diagnosed with tinnitus I keep falling in and out of paying attention or being aware of it. It happens involuntarily and I really need to keep a journal of when it happens but I do know that it is linked to when I'm not focused on my body but are concentrating on something beyond my physical self. Even though I try to put myself in positions where I'm absorbed in what I'm doing or where I am, it's happening randomly until I somehow get reminded of the tinnitus. My challenge is to make those moments longer and more frequent which sounds like I'd need to consciously control those moments but I believe that'd undermine or compromise progress.
Stay strong ❤ Just the fact that you dont notice it until you remember about it means you’re progressing! Beautiful ❤❤ Dont give up! Youve got this! You are so powerful! Sending my love to you ❤❤❤
@@susy841 only reminded myself that there are others in far more challenging positions then me and that I had made a conscious decision not to allow my life to be dictated by tinnitus. At the moment whether I'm aware of it or not is pretty random but on a scale of 1 to 10 I would put mine at normally about a 3 to 4 sometimes peaking at 6 or 7.
You’re 100% right. I think we’re special breed. We do our best for others, then bang. Definitely sleep is a big help for me. Ironically I can occasionally get a couple of days in a row where it’s no big deal… then I over do it and I pay the price. Overall it’s slowly getting easier to manage…
Did you say in one of your previous videos you were going to do a video on things that happen with your eyes with tinnitus. Super interested in that one
Everything you say is so true but can be so hard! But like they say if it were easy no one would have T. I’m struggling with not monitoring it. Some days I succeed, other days I fail but I keep trying. Thanks for your comforting videos! It helps knowing we’re not alone. 😊
Stay strong ❤ Youve got this! The fact that you do notice some days and others you dont means youre progressing! Dont give up you will get through this! Sending my love to you ❤❤❤
So many claims about tinnitus this old guy has enjoyed ur videos 1 thing thathas helped me is vit a and magnesium 2 5mil melitonan and 3 250 mil magnesium at bedtime and now by putting a hand over each ear and pressing as hard as i can then releasing do this 5 to 10 times and that i think has helped too. Once again ty for your videos it seems calming the brain down does help God Bless you and Ty for caring❤😊
After how long you stopped being stuck and things started to get better for you Alice ? Were you able to hear it everywhere, even in noisy places (and still the case now if you look for it) ? Did it lose some of its loudness ? I can remain "positive" and accept the sound for short periods of time, but negative feeling usually quickly come back... Thank you for your videos, very reassuring.
Thanks for sharing! It took me many months to start to feel better. For months I felt no hope at all and the more I learned about positive stories and other people who manage/overcome tinnitus, the better my journey with tinnitus became. I slowly started to feel more hopeful on and off and eventually my tinnitus started to fade more into the background more often. I was able to hear it in all settings quite loudly and even if I focus on it now, I can hear it. The more I focus on it, the more it is there and the louder it becomes. That is why focus is so important with tinnitus and why it is so vital to focus on other things going on in your life, instead of how to get "rid" of the sound, as hard as that is. Once I learned to focus more on the deep roots of my anxiety and parts of my life that needed changing, the less focus I had on the sound and the less stuck I felt. You are more than welcome for the videos! I hope they are helping you in some way. Wishing you all the best :)
Thank you so much for your videos - they give me so much hope! I am visually impaired since birth and therefore have to rely on my ears a lot in my everyday life. Thats why I immediately started to panic when the tinitus showed up for the first time. It has gotten worse over time and is now accompanied by other symptoms like vertigo and sensitivity to noise. I always wonder if I should take part in joyful activities (which means exposure to noise = increase of tinitus) or if I should just stay in silence to let my ears recover. I will definitely try to shift attention away from the terrible noise in my ear and use some techniques to calm my nervus system. Hopefully I will be better soon. Thanks so much!
You are more than welcome! I can relate to the other symptoms as well such as vertigo and sensitivity to noise. I have experienced many other symptoms as well. I would suggest taking part in joyful activities because this does wonders for the brain and assists with neuroplasticity. As long as you are being careful and not exposing yourself to very loud sounds (such as a concert without hearing protection) you should be fine! I think a big problem is that many people with tinnitus stop participating in the things that used to provide joy and balance in life. It is important to continue these things if you feel capable and let tinnitus fade into the background as something that isn't important to the brain! Wishing you all the best!
Another great supportive Video, thank you. I notice in the last couple of videos you show a book, How To Meet Yourself. Is that something you used along your journey, and recommend?
@alicemoyle I have the other book 'How to do the work' and also Joey Remenyi's. Did you just do the exercises in them?. I am doing them but its a long time since my childhood and can't remember a lot of it. How did you translate that into overcoming tinnitus?.
Im just a kid, just with one sneeze it ruined my life, its been 3 days since ive been hearing tinnitus, its a nightmare, i keeo focusing on it cause im so scared, i dont know what it will do to me, please help me i dont want to experience this anymore..
It will be okay. Trust me! Keep going and remember that it is possible to not hear tinnitus again. Just like it came into your awareness, it can leave again. I will be making more videos on how to cope with tinnitus and i hope they can help or provide comfort for you in some way! It is possible to heal and live a normal life again.
@@alicemoyle Thank you Alice, you've helped me so much, you will be part of my journey of overcoming my tinnitus! Thank you for helping me calm down, letting me know that it isnt only me that is experiencing this, and for helping everyone!
Dear as you getting that how hard phase it is, i wanna know i am suffering with tinnitus with noise truma, since very long i have been using headphones at its high.. So wanna know can this type of tinnitus is also curable?
☺️☺️be cool. Dont panic. 😎🤟 Cool cool... Meditation helps. I'm suffering from high symptoms like blocking sensation in my right ear. Constant high pitch loud frequency noise... 🫣Full ness in my ears are very very troubling
My tinnitus has been extremely loud at different stages. It changes in volume if i am anxious and always became much louder. Yes i can still hear tinnitus mostly when i wake up/ go to sleep because its such a quiet environment and i’ll hear it the more i focus on it/talk about it which makes sense!
