The base of the toilet was cemented. There was no other way but to demolish the whole thing. But still, be very, very careful because broken pieces of ceramic or porculain are sharp like a surgeon knife.
one works according to the tools one has. I think I'm gonna do the same as here. too much cement in old toilets in a restricted bathroom to be able to use the ideal tools.

I watched this video after a holiday celebration with the family and was feeling rather full after all the food....I was considering going to that place to relieve some of the load 😂🤣
That "S" trap looks neat but you better hope nothing goes down the drain with it being fused like that. And when it clogs it's going to be fun to deal with.
And also add a load of time to the job as well as leaving potentially hazardous shards of porcelain all over the floor. Which are also covered in waste particles. Nice.😕
We used to use the toilet's debris with our aggregate when we uprade the bathroom flooring.😂 And in my country the garbage truck won't collect the toilet as a whole, it needs to get crushed first.
Oh, so that's how they do it when you don't have a toilet pipe down on the floor... xD So, you obviously don't have to break the whole toilet to remove it. Those flexible hoses don't need thread tape, they have rubber washers to stop the water from leaking. I'm also not very sure about using that type of flexible pipe to go down the drain. Sewage will get trapped there and it's gonna cause problems... But I may be wrong, I'm not a plumber.
You had just learned that things are not always the way you think just because you had no idea it could be otherwise. Travel around and you will see things can be done in different ways, and "your" way may not be the best, go figure. Just because you have always done things in one way do not mean that that is the best way, it just means that you have always just done it in one way.
Good demonstration. Can you please help. I am having a bathroom renovation. Can you suggest a toilet (brand) with wall dischatge line and the anchor bolt is 12 inches to the wall and the base is 21 inches. I am having problem finding one. Thank you

An expert would never use the sledgehammer. He would simply take the entire WC off. More practical, clean, discrete and silent.

@@chrisquinn394 Teflon tape not only seals, it lubricants metal on metal.
Those rubber washers also fail, so why not the teflon tape?
@@chrisquinn394 I advise you to look up what Teflon tape does and doesn't do.
