I like the idea of pale jungle and pale savannah and other pale biomes, like the terraria corruption but its like an illness that sucks all the life and colour out of the biomes
Not necessarily this video but i feel like alot of people are getting the wrong idea. It was just an announcement not the full update, it’s like seeing a movie trailer and being upset that the movie is only 3 minutes long. Like I said not this video specifically but just something to think about
@@SigmaAirplaneBalls thats true. they usually add some more usability before it releases. I remember the trial chambers were kinda dumb but they ended up making it pretty cool. I think one thing people miss alot though is Minecraft is a building game. Survival mode is intended to be creative mode but with survival aspects. Most the rewards you get are building blocks or items to help you build more efficiently. The fighting and gear progression is more of an after thought. They are hinting at that more with the warden and creaking where the point isn’t to fight them. I could honestly see them keeping it as is where the reward for the biome is the wood type. They could definitely make the trees more unique and make it more atmospheric. Theres a video on it but i can’t remember the title or channel name. That being said I think they should give combat and progression more love, thats why the nether update was so amazing cause they appealed to both sides and added new blocks and gear.
Another commenter pointed this out already but this is only just a snapshot, given the name "winter drop" the full update is at least two months away so it's almost definitely unfinished. As things currently stand though the biome is lacking, so it's still fun to throw out ideas on what could be implemented. It seems that the pale garden isn't just a variation of the dark oak forest, it literally IS a dark oak forest, as in it's only capable of generating on top of an existing dark oak forest, and as a result some pale gardens generate comically small, the first two I found generated at the very edge of a dark oak forest and it only caught a couple of trees. I really hope that gets fixed, I feel like the pale garden can only work if it is big enough to get lost in, that way the chances of an accidental creaking encounter are much higher. There also needs to be a reason to get lost in a pale garden, just stopping by to grab some pale oak isn't really going to cut it, they just made the creaking scare illagers, so maybe we could run with that and add abandoned illager structures that only rarely spawn in the pale garden, that way you would have an incentive to actually travel deep enough into the biome to run out of daylight before finding your way out
The Creaking needs to be way faster, way stronger, and also be able to close its eyes after it sees that you’re looking at it, so you can only catch a brief glimpse if the eyes. The hearts should drop a new material when destroyed without silk touch, which can be used to craft items such as a block that emits redstone signal when looked at, or a weapon that normally has the strength of a wooden sword, but deals triple damage when striking an enemy that’s looking away from you, and also increases stealth
They should have Tameable Skeleton Wolves in the biome as a rare spawn. They are the most iconic mob that isn't in the game, only officially being recognized in Minecraft Earth. We need the Grimm representation.
i like the similarities between the creaking and SCP-173, and i think it would be amazing if they worked more similarly. like the basic stuff, like making it faster and deal more damage, but also maybe an occasional blinking animation for the player that lets the creaking move freely for a fraction of a second. not enough to be too dangerous, but it would definitely give the eerie vibe.
I've watched too many videos on this update to count and I've noticed a few things. Mainly, a lot of people claim that there's something wrong with the biome's name, however I find all reasons that people bring up are narrow minded and not how we should be looking at things. Mojang using the word "garden" here could be in some sense, appealing to the idea that beyond our normal classifications there is something more to this place that warrants its title. Much like how the Warden's name implies so many things about the ancient city and the deep dark. I find the most common name suggestion "Pale Forest" to be very shallow and samey with the rest of Minecraft's biomes, I can tell Mojang really wanted this biome to stand out (for better or worse) and the name definitely was inspired by that ethos. As for what the deeper meaning behind the name could be, maybe this biome was the result of the illagers performing some sort of experiment? They run away from The Creaking so that theory does have weight and they at least fear this biome. Using "garden" also has some more implications, implying that this biome isn't natural but rather intentionally or not, placed by something. Whether or not Mojang elaborates on it's name or not, I think it's extremely fitting, especially when you don't hone in as much on the literal. Great video overall though, i just found it weird so many people felt the name didn't fit.
its still illusive, garden, to most people, tends to mean an area with shrubery, flowers and other things. To stick with the "creepy" theme they could choose to add something like white spider-lillies or smn aswell tho
@lilhoodie1 Yes it also explain why some people think Mojang should do an update each week, or per month. People just don't bother to accept view different from them It's to deep integrated within us.
It just would make sense that this would be a flower/garden update as well. I’ve seen someone suggest flower points with colours in them, I say make them spawn in them occasionally, not in every single garden so you HAVE to explore more than one to see them. They could add like 3 something pale related flowers (if I don’t get a pale mushroom I’ll go to fight them at mojang myself) + 1-2 new decorative coloured flowers and give 2 new effects to suspicious soup :) Edit: this goes without saying but if they don’t add white pumpkins they lose a great opportunity.
The creaking dead forest or the pale creaking forest are good names for the pale garden. And a new structure where the corruption is, and you have to defeat the structure to get the corruption to go away, and you can always fight it, and this structure should be in the pale garden.
I've got to say, well done for discovering the glitch, I first found out about it from Spoke, well done for discovering it, but you have to give Spoke credit for noticing its full potential
@@The-Thing I replied this to a different video which I watched before but my internet was glitching, it must have posted it here too, though I like you video as well, nice ideas
I think it would cool if the pale garden acted like the forest from The Blair Witch Project and game. Where the pale garden is endless and it appears to be only night, when the Creaking spawns. I can only think of that working, if a new dimension is added, or you just continue being teleported back into the pale garden.
I would say: buff the Creaking, add more plants, make the pale trees fireproof, add structures, give some kind of a useful reward for defeating the creaking
Honestly they should have just added this to the deep dark city’s at lest it would make sense there with the color pallet and new mob as a added scary effect to Al already scary area
I mean, mojang themselves said they are inspired by willow trees but I don't think they look like that at all. A willow tree biome with fireflies like this and maybe graveyard garden areas with nice loot that can spawn sound cool
@@PolaIndustries444You are missing the point. They were BOTH new! Dark oak IS NOT NEW. Reusing an OLD feature is the problem. And it was only a SLIVER of the nether update, there was also so many new biomes added which each look unique. However, when it hits you it also jumpscares you, maybe like their face looks at you and you get the effect. Could be cool, and actually threatening.
that's done to death though. ever since 2014 it's always been getting caught = jumpscare. it adds nothing at this point and would be weirdly out of place for Minecraft, like having a gun
