My first rent, 1993 $350, Gold was about $350, 2024, my mortage $2324, gold just about $2300 .... it is 100% a hedge, it lags, but it does keep up. IMHO

@silverhustlin1390 i mean, for us, not really. Less than what most renters pay for half the size around these parts. My two daughters and their hisbands can testify to that. Doesnt feel heavy anyways, feels like a blessing from above, we like where we live and what we live in. 🍻👍🐟... but the point... gold kept up! Lol... focus hustlin, focus! 🍻👍🐟
I did the same calculation for my rent 2014 and 2023. It matched up for silver almost exactly

Different strokes for different folks! I understand the blessings one must must exercise modesty also! Keep Hustlin Brother!

Gold is absolutely a hedge against inflation. It was just early compared to when people started realizing inflation first hand. Gold was at about $1500 March 20th 2020 just before Congress passed the CARES (Covid Stimulus) act. Once they fired up the money printer and stimulus checks hit people bank accounts Gold was at about $1800, a 20% increase. Just 4 years later, today 4/5/24, Gold is at $2330 a 55.3% increase from $1500. Yes, Gold is most definitely a hedge against inflation.

I hear that all the time. Gold & Silver DO HEDGE INFLATION, but they do so reliably, only over 30 to 50 year time-frames. The smaller amount of time under 30 years that you hold Gold & Silver, the more hit & miss their hedging will be. Also, Silver is the change maker for Gold, and Gold is the highest exemplification of the nature of money, which is why Gold has a higher Wealth Storage Density Capacity (WSDC). As a result, Gold will always do somewhat better than Silver, just as Silver will do better than Nickel & Copper. However, Nickel and Copper will do better than fiat US dollar or any other fiat currency over the very long-term (i.e. 30 to 50 years). The Silver I bought for $11 to $13 back in the 2008-09 period is doing pretty good hedging inflation, but they'll be doing even better when I get to 2038 and beyond. That'll be true of any Gold & Silver that you hold for long periods. Keep stacking!

Everything will be going crazy soon. The oil isn't being replaced to our reserves which is driving up gas along with other problems.

If you were buying fractional AGE in January and February, you can trade all those up right now and get a one ounce eagle for under spot.
The GSR when I started stacking was 83. Today, it's still 83. I like the divisibility of silver and have plenty of storage room, ACRES of storage room, so I'll stick to picking up a few ounces whenever I have a little extra cash. 😁
I have a decent sized gold stack, so I’m not even considering buying gold right now. I don’t really think silver is a good buy either, but I prefer it over gold for now.
Next month my attitude might be completely different. It all depends on the spot prices, the premiums and the gsr. ✌️
I am always adding to my stack. I just buy whenever I have no interest for a yr or more or 24 equal payments or 6 months, same as cash! Unless you have the cash to buy a few grand in gold or silver you are better off buying on eBay!
I am still buying silver. Buy generic when spot is down and vintage when spot goes up. I may have even got that advice from you Savage.
And today gold hits an all time high at about $2340 per oz. No evidence that it won't go higher. I rate gold a HOLD.
I think gold will continue to skyrocket this year, silver usually follows and even outperforms especially with all of the money printing

I think it depends on why you want to buy gold.
If you're trying to make a quick buck, maybe it is a in good time to buy, maybe it isn't.
If you want to get your money out of the bank and preserve your wealth for the long term, every day is a good time to buy gold.
I think you're right Savage. The banks of the world seem to think so as well. With all that is going on, it is going to keep going higher for a while.

Medals has been one of the best savings methods for me it allowed me to go out and buy a truck when I needed one and avoid these large interest rates . And silver will have its day eventually I feel

Gold goes first, silver goes farther, that said own both. I'm mostly silver, as it comes out if the earth at 6:1 Gold. It has no business being priced at 90:1.

Im continuing to buy but unfortunately have to be smarter with my purchases since im not working with a ton of cash and don't have my silver base up to where id like to see it yet. You, Lynette Zang, and Robert Kiyosaki are the OG Stackers that got me into stacking in the first place years ago. I don't regret a single oz ive stacked. Im really glad to have what i have, even the cool stuff but kind of wish i hadn't got so distracted on high premium stuff this year and stuck to increasing my base weights
3300$ Canadian for a random year Maple up in Canada. Thou I just picked up 8 1/10 os philharmonics for 200$ over melt a few days ago off eBay. One of the best deals I’ve gotten in a long time
If you started stacking silver 5 years ago, you've seen the price go up by 65% Gold has gone up 69% in the same time frame. I don't understand your frustration with silver; it's not that far behind gold at all.

No 1oz are my favorite but for fractional I like 1-10th oz
All of my tenth oz coins have increased in value, by a lot the last few years, and if I need to sell which I don't plan on doing I'll sell in the community not to the LCS so I'd get that premium back regardless. Also, if the price really takes off tenth oz coins will definitely be more liquid. Personally my favorite is quarter oz though.

Percentage wise even 1/10oz Gold typically has a lower premium than a ounce of Silver.
