I think this is interesting and creative. Thanks to Maxim! :) I would be interested to hear more of this genre as long as the bands involved are putting in the honest effort like these guys are. It was especially fun seeing your enthusiastic reaction. :) It is nice to see a band that is trying do do something musically that does not just copy everyone else in their genre. This song had good pacing (instead of the usual manic drumming), interesting changes, a good melody. As someone who plays guitar and drums (back in the day I was very good!), I appreciate that these guys have skills and are not just slamming away, and are trying to be coherent with what they are doing. I think the vocals are most likely a combination of a heavy natural growl mixing in with a distortion effect on the microphone also, to create a more severe tone. That vocal par of it is not my taste as much, since I like to have a vocal line that follows a melody, which is impossible with this severe of a growling effect. Overall, the band reminds me a bit of a local band here that was groundbreaking and popular in their time, Nachtmystium, which made similar efforts at combining more melody with what at the time was black or death metal. Great job as you always do, Dasha! I enjoyed it :)

+1. although on the vocals part, 'effect' is a strong word to say here... at least with Ben.
I dont really think it's 'effect' but it's definitely layered.
Ben is one of the best deathcore vocalist out there if not the best, this dude's lows are insane.
I saw many deathcore/death metal bands live. Ben stands head and shoulders above any other vocalist i've ever seen in a live show, when people say that guy sounds exactly the same as he does in the cd then we're really dealing with a Godtier vocalist here.

@@jamesoukassou7544 Yeah. His voice is layered more than they have usually done on previous songs in this one but at several points you can hear it without layers as it is, like in the chorus.

Shadow of Intent - The band was originaly based on the Halo game series and thus the name of the band also. Check out The heretic prevails from the Reclaimer album. You will be surprised by what Ben is able to do with his voice. Shadow of Intent mostly have concept albums and Melancholy is a masterpiece. 🤘
Guitarist Chris is in the band Currents, a metalcore band. The way it ends or Kill the ache is my suggestion. He also write lyrics for Shadow of Intent and do clean vocals.
