Man its crazy how top heavy the payouts were back then, the pay jumps were gigantic in the top 5 and they were still playing like ICM didnt exist. 6th was only 87k more than 9th. Poker was so much more fun then, way more characters instead of silent robots staring eachother down. But at the same time even an average player today would wreck these guys, the game was just beginning to be studied super in depth at this point.

He is a genius!!!!!! When he brought home his end of the year test , I didn't understand them. The grafts went completely off the page...I showed his teacher thinking It was some kind of printing error. I was quickly corrected, he had tested higher then the ratings on the graft!!!!
Man those elimination interviews are ruff. U feel so bad for losing n u have to talk abt it like yeah i won 400k but relative to whats at stake its just insignificant lol. Damn
Okay , so at @16:35 Van Patton tells the story about the player thinking he was playing on the 2nd day of the tournament , but stopped in to say Hi to some players and was told , what are you doing ? you are in this tournament , and they were anteing his chip stack away ! I was glad to see he did well and made it through to this table , but I have to ask , did he not get a phone call asking where he was ? Do they show up late so often that nobody thinks it's odd ?
I think the attitude is that they're adults and if they don't show up it's on them. Their competitors certainly aren't going out of their way to get their opponent to come.
WPT final tables are always pathetic.. And Sexton trying to give the fish that have no idea what they're doing too much credit.. "what a read and call".. no he just doesn't know how to fold a pair.
@@youbetyourlifejeffwalker7826 That guy made some horrible moves and just got lucky his opponents never had any substantial hand. Not good poker, just luck and recklessness. Gets you felted more often than not in the long run.
How come,they accept the player like Men Nguyen who doesn 't know to play poker?He tried two times''all in '' having nothing in hand and at the second time he lost everything at the beginning of the tournament..Is it poker this?I can't belive that !
