When the answer to "what's your budget" is "yes" you get this immaculate gem of a car. Love the whole idea of built by legends and look forward to seeing more of their work! (Also wish i had the money for one of these lol)
Quite impressive for their first build, doesn't go too extreme and retains the look and feel of a 90s JDM car. Also love all the small details that you don't quite notice at first like the carbon bumper and lip actually being one piece and the logo integrated in the seat fabric. Looking forward to seeing how they develop with more builds in the future 👍.

You guys honestly are my dream car builder now, I'd love to see what you'd do with a 300ZX Twin Turbo!!! 💯 😍👍 Are you guys planning on opening a shop in the States?
Masa’s voice is legend. As you stated, I used go the DVD store and buy the latest version of BMI/ Hot Version. He was very detailed in the translation I can see that same dedication in this R32. The scene you mentioned in which the Tsuchiya drives the R34, is in the “six straight shoot out” Amuse A80 vs Mines R34
That R31 where the tuner made her own intake manifold by hand from a block of aluminum was impressive also, lots of good cars in that one, I still have it in my collection!
This car is pure gold, the extensive build when the chassis was bar is all the details most will never know. Then the motor and interior kept blowing me away. Mines Legend 🙏 BUT-stop talking and have some in car shots. Gear shifts, maybe a RPM camera and some beautiful speed and apexes shots. Even a lap of quiet RB engine “sound”. Thank you for this. Been a fan of the Mines philosophy since the early 2000s (same best motoring video). It's awesome to see other enthusiasts that stay true to their concept for street cars. Would love to see more manufacturer cars from the 90s built to this caliber, not over the top or built for a singular purpose (especially stateside)
this man has a great point Larry when he says that everyone has thier own opinion of what ... we also see this in every "hotrod" show you or anyone else ever covered.....
These types of restorations, like Singer's, are my favorite. They leave the original essence untouched, but augment the rest to modern times without deviating from what made the cars special. 🫶
I really hope to experience these cars before my time is over. I grew up obsessed with Nissans and watching option drift videos. My first three cars were S13’s but I would love an R32, and an S15. The dreams of my childhood and even into adulthood.
Kudos to Larry for remembering the video of Keiichi Tsuchiya driving Mines R34. I saw it like 10 years ago and once I see "Mines" logo I totally remember the fragment of video where you can see the tacho and how RPM just jumping from 4000 to 6000 to 9000, not "moving", but JUMPING, epic moment! "It is something else" (c)
It's an extensively restored, nicely tuned/modified by Mines example, but please stop comparing every restomod to "Singer" ....it's not even remotely close..... Anybody with money can send their R32 to Mine's and have the same engine and suspension pkg done. It's all off-the-shelves parts from Mine's. Stock exterior panels and lights. Stock plastic interior. HKS Zero-R, Top Secret VR32 (full R35 motor, interior, tranny swap), Nismo R32 CRS, Nismo 400R and Nismo R34 Z Tune are much more worthy examples (although still not close) to drag the Singer name out.
So what's the big difference then? Because I see the same sort of thing done: carbon fiber bits, interior made from alcantara, engine redone for more horsepower than factory and most of all: a USED donor shell.
@@brianoconner2501 VS Singer, in short, this GTR is muuuuch less extensively changed. A Singer car cannot be pieced together a little bit at a time. Exterior and interior pieces, as well as engine packages are proprietary and are only available as a complete car (or to existing customer that wish to replace worn out pieces perhaps). Try to recreate a Singer reimagined 911 (just the earliest commission, not the turbo or DLS), inside and out, you’ll see how impossibly hard it is, compare to this build. No offence to this build, it’s a great great piece, I just have a problem with thumb nail graphic mentioning “reimagined”, when things done to this car has been repeated by independent track enthusiasts many times already. There’s nothing really “reimagined” about this car. Carefully modified, yes. Top quality parts, yes. Reimagined, not so much, that’s a little bit of a click bait title imo.
I've been JDM fanatic since a teenager playing GT2 & watching VHS tapes from Japan in the late to early 2000's. My favorite GT-R is the R32 hands down, the og Godzilla. Now, this car is INCREDIBLE....Having said that, I'm going to get some heat for this comment BUT... I feel Singer-level is a higher level than the treatment this GT-R received. This is not a "re-imagined" R32 GT-R, just improved to perfection (many of the parts are off-the-shelf i.e wheels, brakes, suspension, etc). Honestly, The Singer cars are Porsche's re-imagined and unlimited potential custom built from the ground up.
Everyone who says its not worth the price. Don't understand basic economics. It's supply/demand. Hence why nismo is charging almost a half a million dollars. You cannot get a brand new BNR32 gtr brand new in 2022. So guess what if you want to have a brand new bnr32 gtr in 2022 that is the price. Since no one else does full restoration of an vintage 90s car they can choose the price. Same thing with if you have something that no one else has you can set the price. Mine's is a legendary shop. If you know you know. Instead of bitching and complaining its not worth it etc. How about you just enjoy and brace something that is legendary and probably not many will be made.

Larry says they are building these for the people who couldn't afford them when they were young. Yeh $380k is so affordable nowadays, I might have to buy two of these now I am grown up with all this disposable income. Excuse me while I go flush some more of my money down the toilet because I have so much I don't know what to do with it. $380k for a restored R32 that looks like they spent most of the build budget on pointless custom plaques, badges and stickers. Nice car but they need to calm down. *Literally drives the car 10 feet then stops from 5 miles an hour* "wow it is so easy to get going..... even the brakes are so good" like wow a $380k car has a working clutch and brakes capable of slowing it down from walking pace.
well now we all kno youve never restored, tuned, or daily driven a 500+hp car. takes alota work to make a car like that feel like a comfortable daily driver yet perform very well. that kind of balance takes alot of time, money, and knowledge.
@@johnnygee_1991 did I claim to have done so? Also who is daily driving a $380k R32? And what exactly about the mods or anything in the video suggests it’s more comfortable to daily drive? @@TheRZBM hmm let's see: 2.8 instead of 2.6 for more usable power down low, turbos that are not overly big, no bucket seats but instead reupholstered stock ones, NISMO twin plate that feels like a stock clutch but with a little more bite all completed by 2 of Japan's legendary GT-R shops. All those corelate into a car that can perform with modern day cars and still be usable everyday for the average driver. Also plenty of people drive expensive cars everyday. Just came across this vid. I have no clue about this genre. But $380k for a car that looks like an early 90 version of some Japanese car is simply insane. For that money I would buy Berkshire stock, wait and retire 10 years early.

because its rebuilt from the bare chassis out. the WHOLE car is redone, every inch. parts are rare and expensive, craftmanship is top notch, no stone left unturned. im kinda surprised how gtr enthusiasts are suprised by this amount of money
Cool car, I just don’t see how this is worth $380k when The 1/12 V specs are worth under 300k and the 1/4 HKS r32 sold for 400k. This might be a cool build, but it’s priced as if I could sell my skyline for more than a GTR just cause I’m pushing more power than it. But that just ain’t how it works.
The seats look tacky and the BBL logo looks too similar to the Bentley logo. The wheels aren't doing it for me. The bay is spot on but the rest of the car doesn't flow to me.
Well I'm sure you can spec a commission to your liking but this is their prototype. The TE037 wheels may not "look good" to most people but they're supposed to be stronger and lighter than TE37's.
