    Great video mate, I've not fished the Goulburn before but it looks like a great bit of water to swing the trout spey too, must try to get down there some time. :)

    What depth would you normally fish with a dry fly and nymph ,never fished the goulburn.

    Tom just checking your nymph below the dry looked quite long ? How long was it ? Thank for such another great video and as I can’t get back for trout this season. I look forward to next season

    Another great video Tom. Saw you there on Thursday morning too.
    Early in vid you extended depth of nymph. Did you just attach some length to the dropper or re-tie the whole dry and dropper.

      Hey Stephen, I just added extra tippet with a triple surgeons knot to make the dropper longer. Cheers, Tom

    Tom why not reach & mend up to the left as the line is going out of the rod then control

    • @tomjarmanfishing3208
      @tomjarmanfishing3208  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Andrew, I’m not sure which bit you are referring to, but with nymph and dry, if you do that the flies won’t land perfectly in the same current line so they will drag against one another which means you won’t get the depth with a light fly and you won’t get the right drift either

    • @andrewcox9279
      @andrewcox9279 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tomjarmanfishing3208 you know acabaced fly casting with Doug swisher well he say to cast the line straight but mend up current so you get a drag free drift done it on the Tongariro river in 2002
