These cars are reliable for sure!! My brother has been driving a 08 impala withe 270k miles. He’s literally abused the heck out his car and done little maintenance on it. It still runs good.
I have an 08 Impala LTZ 3.9 L 188,000 MI. Solid black black tint on the back, it runs really smooth. This is my third Impala in the last 17 years. You're absolutely right about the trunk it's huge call my good review I liked it
Love your video I just got one from the government and 70,000. It’s 08 with a 3.9 engine. I can’t wait to start driving. It’s got a whole leak in the front. I think it’s a cool line other than that I should be driving it next month.
I have a 2007 chevy impala ls fleet with the 3.5 V6. I absolutely agreed with everything u said !! I love my impala it's been a very reliable car. Smooth good power and good gas mileage. Mine currently has 263 thousand miles on the original engine and transmission !! Keeping it till it falls apart
I have 3.5 07 ls for a year and a half ,trans went out at 107 so it’s sitting now,but I never changed the fluid, never left me stranded, from 85,000, had to replace a engine mount but I crashed into a sign at 40 from hydroplaning with worn tires, power steering wouldn’t work last year and just whined every move it made,my dad just put some fluid in and it stopped, you should change the steering fluid and trans and others if you want your car to last over 100,000
I have a 2011 Impala LS that I bought at 122k It’s at 149k now and I’ve already had to replace the passenger side blend door actuator, the oil pump seal, and the accelerator pedal (that one left me stranded on the side of the freeway.) But they were all really simple for me to replace, and took so little time. And no part costed me more than $30. Also the TPMS isn't working well but I'm going to see if i can just reset them and if not then oh well. Anyone can easily check the pressure manually. But now it has an exhaust leak somewhere and it's slowly leaking power steering fluid. GMs are so fun.. Other than all that it still drives smooth, has some nice Bose speakers, soft cushiony seats, and a very large trunk. So far I don't think I'll be getting rid of it any time soon.
I've bought and owned several of these to flip. I agree these are good cars for the money. One friend has one that is about to hit 200k and she does not take care of it at all. Biggest problem with these are the AC actuators which go bad frequently. Had one with leaky transmission cooler lines- easy fix and another with steering rack issue which was a PITA to DIY. Oil changes are pretty easy and trans fluid changes are OK. A/C works good and stereo is decent for anything basic factory.
just bought one today looks just like yours lol i like it pretty good so far... i dont know much about cars at all, but with a lil tlc i think it'll be sweet
Really like my 09 SS but you need to do work on it, new trans at 92,000, water pump thermostat 113,000 now did radiator at 121,000. brakes of course and plugs and wires at 121,000 too. Drives great on open roads , fast.
Driver side rear electric window motor replaced 30k. Leaking passenger side headlight assmbly 38k. Hvac blower fan replaced 46k. Starter 65k. Repalced almost all front end suspension 85k.Driver side wheel bearing 96k ( wrong clips used ripped abs and traction control wires out). Actuators for hvac gone 103k.(clicking drove me crazy.) Tpms sensors replaced 106k. Stearing wheel feel apart 130k. Rack and pinion gone 140k. Starter replaced 148k. Actuators for hvac gone 150k. Starter replaced 164k. Oil pan leaking 164k. Break position sensor gone 165k. Power seats gone 166k. Power trunk 167k. Massive oil leak rear main seal 169k. Hvac system leak 170k. Throttle body position sensor replaced 172k( lemp home mode engaging) . A/C compressor replaced 175k. Passenger Rear break caliper stuck 179k. Transmission slipping 188k. Coolant temp sensor replaced 189k. ecu gone 189k. Crushed 189k. This was the life of an 08 impala. Didn't even make it 200k with mostly highway miles. I spent almost half of what I paid for the car just to keep it on the road. Notice the real problems start happening after the warranty period.
Leaking window was probably NOT original, and they didn't use cleaner, primer and proper glue. Heater cores plug up. Replace Transmission fluid & filter, flush coolant, and replace plugs every 50k.
Loved my first car 1964 ss IMPALA 327 POWERGLIDE SMOOTH AS SILK ONE OWBER POWER WINDOWS HIDDEN TRUNK RELEASE SIVER WITH BLACK BUCKET SEATS 💺 CONSOLE SHIFT TOUGH AS NAILS 💅
First and only new car purchase was a '64 Impala convertible 283 V8 with power steering and 2 speed automatic. Put a 100K and sold it to my mom who sold it to a neighbor who put a new top on it and ran it for another 10 years! ;--)
I have to change at least one actuator a year. Fun fact, the dealership apparently charges $900 for a full dash removal for that shit. I can change one in 10 mins you dicks lol
I hear ya, but a used SS since there are no new ones, could be run hard and need work, the V8 crammed under the hood is a challenge to work on. 4T65E tranny not durable enough for a V8.
TBH, untill you mentioned COVID-19, I was under the illusion that the video was 10 years old :D
Idk y but that was funny as hell
Right 😂 he funny tho

I actually went to the junkyard and swapped the normal backseat for the fold down backseat. Cost $20 to purchase the back seat lol

That makes me feel so much better!!! I have an 08 with 200,000 and i was scared that it wouldn’t last me. GOTTA LOVE CHEVY❤️
Got a 2012 with a lil over 150,000, just had to replace the starter, was scared it was about to fall apart but this gives me a lot of hope
@@FourRunner30 Replaced mine at 144,655 - no big deal since they are $50 new and only 2 bolts hold them in..
Do you still have it? Running good? I'm thinking of buying one for 3k that has 200k miles on it. 08 Impala

My daughter had a 07 Impala that she drove hard for 199000mi and it was still in good condition when she got a Rouge.
Hi neighbor! I live in Arkansas. Thinking of getting me an Impala for the reliability alone.
just bought one today looks just like yours lol i like it pretty good so far... i dont know much about cars at all, but with a lil tlc i think it'll be sweet
@coraroberts350 how is the fuel economy
My impala is easy to work on & cheap to fix so I'll drive till the wheels fall off - since Biden wants all electric cars

17 to 29 but seen people get over 30 on hwy for long drives
I thought this video was from the early 2000's. The picture quality seemed very old.
Lol love your channel
Wish the audio was better but good vid
How tall are you? For reference?
6:10 second impala spawns in

Have you had that thumping problem in your dashboard? Mine had that when I bought mine
yes I had to replace 3 vent actuators
HVAC actuators, had to replace all mine before 100k.
I’ve replaced 2 of mine at 88.000 miles
UPDATE: the motor started making a terrible banging sound and it jerked every which way so I bought a Hyundai Tucson
