      Same also you can listen to Mr. Deified, Scary Interesting, Morbid Midnight, Ballen. Nobody narrates like LH. I recently was given suggeted videos and what an orator. Just blown away by the way he takes me away to dark places. I've never heard a story teller like LH. I'd also like to thank @rtempest12 for more stories to check out. Thank you.

    A rarely think to check the author of a story before listening, but I can never forget Saturdead’s calling card of blue sunflowers. As soon as that little easter egg gets mentioned, it’s like all of his stories come flooding back and hit me at once.
    And that’s when I know the rest of the story will be great.

    • @janedoex1398
      @janedoex1398 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wait " card of blue sunflowers ?"
      I remrmber the drawing of "blue sunflowers" including a therapist that....NO, - not spoiling it for the ones that didn't listen to it . Was it "Emma" in the stoty ?
      And he said " JUNIPER " like the cats?
      Dang my brain is like swiss cheese sometimes.
      I HAVE TO GET " MY" AUTHORS in check or the mess that my LHH playlist is and put them in different playlists.
      Also differenting between ~ 20 / 40 / 60/ 90 mins / 2 / 4 + hours.
      So my OCD will force me to spend at least 7 hours or just write a list of authors. 🤦

    • @mr.winters4698
      @mr.winters4698 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@janedoex1398 that’s one of them, but there are also at least two other of his stories (“the Sad Sunflower” and “the Sunflower Room”) that have possible origins, and plenty of others that will mention them in passing.

      So....you tell me I have to rewatch ALL OF THEM not to miss any hidden clues , because there could be more stories I didn't connect into a uni- / multiverse ?
      JUST looking at the author would be cheap cheating.
      Gosh, I HAVE TO get my authors in order.
      So....That's 4.5 years of narrations and Stephen's own written stories.
      OMG, I have to bring some oder into my 200 - 300 ? "favourites" - just a guess- , but HOW ?
      Alphabetically - and if : by title or author. Length ? Theme? Creatures ?
      Aaaaaaaahh ! 🤯

    • @mr.winters4698
      @mr.winters4698 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@janedoex1398 most of its not important bits, really just easter eggs. Saturdead’s stories take place in a connected universe, but can be fully enjoyed on their own. The big things are the blue sunflowers, the town of Juniper, and some connection to a town in Minnesota that I don’t think has been explored yet.
      I believe he’s been writing for about two years, but I don’t know think all of his stories have been narrated yet. I actually went through a binge reading a bunch of them on nosleep yesterday, and even small things like side characters and locations get subtly referenced in most of them. Not enough to impact the story, but just enough to make really make it feel connected.

    I didn't even realize which author this was until the subtle mention of a "blue sunflower" pin (and it's actually the second one of their stories where they snuck the reference in with a pin specifically, in the last one I heard the blue sunflower pin was a charity thing relating to missing persons)

      yeah, I noticed the same thing! on top of that, a year ago he narrated a story from the same author where a therapist talks with a girl who changes reality with her lies. Wow this was an amazing story. Thank you so much Stephen for making my morning with this awesome pasta. Top notch work as always on the narration, and thank you to Saturdead for writing this masterpiece. I've personally had a long and shitty week in court over a crime I'm not guilty of, had every scare tactic possible thrown at me. . Yes I was there, but I didn't commit the crime. I was heavily intoxicated, and was sitting in the back seat of my own car. The people I was with wanted to go somewhere, and as a victim of having had my car stolen and being left in the middle of nowhere before, I wasn't about to let them take my car without me. I was just along for the ride, and didn't actually commit the crime. Needless to say, I don't mess with those people anymore.

      You know what bothers me? I watch true crime like most people and I find it more informative about what to not do,and how these situations happen in life..maybe what not to do...But it's when I seen a true crime episode where they have someone who was likely killed or hurt where they have literally done everything right but where the system or police failed them.
      I've seen a few of them mostly in regards to domestic violence or stalking situations. I can recall two one in the UK the other in Japan or Korea maybe. Both had a woman who knew their stalker. The girl in the UK had broken up with the man, he broke into her flat and killed her when she wouldn't take him back. She had filed filed protection papers before bc he wouldn't leave her alone,kept calling her,he tracked her car and other things. IM not sure if this was her case or maybe another one of the same situation with a stalker ex,but she was told by the police to not call bc they said she was filing a false report,so her last situation where he was in her flat she didn't call. Makes you wonder if she could have been saved.
      The other woman,never dated the man. He was a friend in their friend group,that he ended up liking her..he asked her out she said no,their social group was.weird with him so the girl went to a different computer gaming spot. The guy would know her screen name and make multiple accounts to play with her to get her to talk to him. He had her social media and other stuff too. He'd follow her on social stuff. She started to get gifts at her apartment. She filed a report with the cops,she moved with her parents,changed her name,got an order of protection that was granted,she even got assistance with a stalking group who told her everything that needed to be done.Few months later, she had met a man and I believe she fell in love,maybe got engaged. She posted something on her new social media with a new name and apparently on the package she was showing off her her new gift yet she forgot to block or cover this address on it. The stalker seen this and showed up on her doorstep,broke in through a window killed her in her apartment,stabbed her multiple times,slit her throat and then hung himself off the window so his body was showing outside. He had to take her even in death. Cases like that, are even more sad due to part that these women did everything right yet they still were helpless.

    I’m a little over 10 min into the story. Did anyone else immediately think of that recent great thriller movie titled: “Hereditary” by this point? I don’t wanna ruin the movie for anyone, because “Hereditary” is THAT DAMN GOOD!! So I guess iykyk (if you know, you know) 😎
