Thank you so much for bringing story time back for the "older" kids. 😉
That's what his narrations remind me of also and I've said that several times but never read anyone else that thought that or even seen to know what I was talking about. 😅
Same. Darksomnioum, lighthouse horror mr creeps and mr ballen all together..telling ther very real horrors that are in the reality we live in but to which most are blind or evil to see the truth.
This reminds me of the old rule in Scouting about how to interact with nature; leave only footprints, take only pictures. Much harder to accidentally summon an ancient evil if you don't give it a blood sacrifice.
I learned many years ago not to mess with strange looking trees from watching Ferngully, that's where they had imprisoned Hexus. LOL. Great story as always

What part of Chicago are you living in? I've lived here my whole life and it's nothing like what people who don't live here think it is. Theres many cities on the list way worse than chicago but yall love to say "but whatabout chicago". Whenever you want to deflect from your communities problems you say "but chicago". You probably don't even live there and are just programmed to say chicago. Name dropping chicago let's me know that you have no idea what cities are bad you just parrot what fox news and those other fools say. There are some bad areas just like any city but yall seem to think that it's the wild west over here. I'm more concerned about "regular" people deciding to go on a shooting spree because they're having a bad day than I am about gangbangers killing other gangbangers. More innocent people have been killed by "regular" people than by gangbangers. Hell if you're not in a gang you're safer in the hood than in the "safe" suburbs. If you haven't done anything to them then they aren't looking at you but in the suburbs it doesn't matter they'll just kill you because you're there
@Alabaster green I have spent time working in some of the lost dangerous cities in the world and that is how it feels everywhere. You're usually okay until suddenly you're not.
Oh man a Lighthouse Story about the woods!!! My favorite sub genre of horror is forest horror stories, not to mention small town horror stories! Best of both worlds, You're the man! As soon as I can get my 3 year old to bed in 2 hours I'll be back for the horror!!!

I remember walking in the woods near my house and suddenly feeling surrounded by this almost imperceptible, high-pitched ringing. A feeling of utter dread filled me, and I knew something was behind me. I turned around and there was a bizarre, stunted maple tree with a huge, blackened hole in the side of it. That noise and dread seemed to come from that hole. It was the middle of the day, bright and sunny, and that hole was as black as night inside. I ran home, and was never able to find that tree again.
@@LVD3NS Yes. I have searched all over for that tree, and never found it. I didn't walk past it, but there it was, about 5 feet right behind me. I should have been able to see into that hole, but it was just pure blackness. It was like the tree was screaming. The hole was at ground level, and was almost the same height as me. This was only about 3 years ago, so it wasn't me getting freaked out as a little kid.
Might be ant waste. When I was a kid, we had a tree full of ants and they would carry little chunks of chewed wood and other waste and throw it out, but it would pile up and cover the surface with a "dark black" almost tar looking substance.
I love this story, it was so well-written, I love the set-up and the pacing, as well as the descriptions. And the ending was perfect. I was mesmerized.
The real story behind Skeleton Jack's agony is he was just tired of the same old routine year after year. He was just longing for something that was out there somewhere far from home. He just had an emptiness inside of his bones. His cries were just him desiring something new, something unknown. He's expressing his desires through his empty tears
