In this video you will see all 14 Phoenix Ladder Tenders 2 unreleased videos I never posted and the explanation of the Ladder Tender concept.
The amount of people in Arizona who don’t yield to emergency vehicles amazes me.
12:37 that is awesome. Amazing video
Ahhh gotcha thanks buddy.
Ive been waiting for this. This is a great video
Glad you enjoyed!
I’m surprised that they don’t have these in California
I know, Thx for watching!
This kind of switch is not followed here in Ohio. If ladder companies take a different piece of equipment, then the ladder is out of service. I am interested in more about this if you have time. Thanks.
A lot of Arizona fire departments staff the ladder and the ladder tender with the same crew. The idea is medical calls or auto collisions the crew will take the tender as it is smaller, easier to maneuver and costs less to operate than a full ladder. They will take the ladder if it is a fire call or for certain rescue situations. I hope this helps
Is this because a tiller takes up a lot of space and it’s easier to take the “LT”?
Because in my city the ladder goes to any call it’s needed (it’s not a tiller)
Negative it’s saves the wear and tear on any big Ladder. In AZ we don’t have tillers besides one 1 reserve.
can an LT serve as an engine also?
It depends on the city. An example is if the LT gets a fire in their first due and the LT can pump water they will most likely take that and another Ladder company would be attached.
