Case in point. Shuff has rewatch value. Craft is dry, he seems like a good guy, but his performance is weak and he doesn’t deliver any punches. Shuff switches between tight schemes and heavy hitters and always holds the room.
Really wasn’t feeling those bars, think Shuffles persona/delivery makes them corny. The poetry lines tho. Fucking Christ 🔥

Anyone else find the Tory angle on Shuffle so played out, nothing he's done suggests he has right wing political views. I get that he is maybe from an affluent family form the home counties but it's a bit tenuous, Shuff even says in this 'if I did switch...' suggesting he is a labour voter. Anyway, not all angles have to be 100% accurate as long as they get a reaction and piss the opponent off.
Like many in the comments I'd have given it to Shuff even though it wasn't his best night. Craft D is pretty dull, I think its the expressionless face, even when spitting really good stuff I find myself drifting out and this happens with a lot of battle rappers. I did really like the german auction for an erling Harland shirt in Dortmund though - great stuff.

Shuffle lost because he was compared to his previous performances rather than craft, hilariously I feel like this was one of shuffles smaller battles

I was at this event. Shuffle is one of my favs I was hoping Shuffle would win, and I've been in to battle rap since before DF. In the building it seriously seemed like a body for Craft. So much of his stuff was hitting so hard and I was almost feeling sorry for Shuffle. Watching it back now, it's a debatable. Don't know how that worked out.

Just in case anyone else got the vibe that Craft rapped for longer, Shuffle T rapped for a total of 12 minutes 53 seconds, Craft D rapped for a total of 16 minutes 26 seconds, basically a whole round more.
and he still lost.
Shuffle T 2-1 with a great 1st and a great 3rd.
But the 2nd round was his best.

Shuffle easily took this one. Craft D has good writing, but his projection sucks, could barely hear him at points, with it turned all the way up in my car.
Even if you gave him more points than Shuffle on the writing aspect (which I wouldn’t):he loses a ton on performance, projection, and entertainment value.
Poor decision by the judges in my opinion.
Unbelievable battle. I think the choke cost shuff tbh but they're both absolutely class. Wouldn't mind a rematch tbf but big up both of them, need to watch it back

Yeah ngl I knew the judges were gonna give it to craft and I cant lie Im a bit salty because I think Shuff got robbed here, I think Shuffle had material in all of his rounds that were at a higher caliber than anything Craft had in his, still as much as I really dont like the decision and it still leaves UK battle rap with a champion that only like 10 percent of the culture thinks deserves it, at the same time DFAFD really hope this begins to bring the scene back because Shotty's little crew of bumlickers are never gonna get it done. Bad judging but great battle hope to see more soon

Really good battle. No surprise to see so many Shuf fans in the comments as he's clearly the more popular of the two but this wasn't his best showing and Craft really came with it.

Incredible battle. 2-1 Craft and I prefer Shuff as a battler. But eventually, the everyone prefers me dies to a underdog. craft still isn't even top 10 battle rappers but this was the best match up I've seen in a minute. Hope this inspires shuffle and Marlo to destroy opponents because even if you have shuffle scraping this it would be a struggle. Respect to DFAFD for dropping this prompt.

As a german it seems kind of strange to me, why the UK scene seems to struggle with giving Shuffle-T the win here...but again, I don't know the UK scene besides a couple of watched battles here and there.....I am more surprised that Craft-D is in this title match at all...Shuffle won this on every imaginable level, although I've seen him stronger before. He would have been a worthy champ...I am a bit baffled...but I guess we Germans go crazy too from time to time.
P.S. Our German champ seemed a bit gay...was the poshest dude ever...but he fucking body bagged the competition and nobody questioned his title ever....Since when is battle rap about where you come from....it´s about being the most entertaining competitive poet...ideology kills quality battle rap, already proven in the states with gun-bars being the new meta.
I agree Shuff won this. Craft was good but just not as good. The judges judged shuff on previous performances rather than this battle which I guess means he only lost to himself. I would suggest maybe I'm just a bit biased but judging by the comments I'm not the only one.

Recent DF battles have seemed so inoffensive recently, like they lack a certain edginess. I can't see Craft-D ever having the charisma/stage presence necessary to rebuild the viewership. You have to put entertainment over ability in this TH-cam game. I'd rather watch a Tony D choke than this.
Craft D had 3 fantastic runs…that he repeated twice. It felt like he was so proud of himself that he needed to go back through it all again. I’d have to watch round 2 again, but I felt like Crafty Won it. Overall though, I’m going 2-1 Shuffle.

To me it looked like they purposely didn't give it to shuffle, probably to avoid a Connor McGregor double belt situation coz shuffle blatantly won. From the moment Craft D entered the league I can't remember a battle I watched because he was in it, he's a good writer but he seriously lacks delivery similar to Frankie. I can't believe he ever became champ in the first place tbh. Genuinely think of the line of champs we had.... Osh > Tony D > Soul > Shox... Every single one had top tier writing, delivery, performance and unique style and character and then.... Craft D.... Shuffle said it perfectly in the radioactive grey paint bar. Just the most middle tier, average battler. It genuinely upsets me that he got that false sense of ego and ability from his name being put in the same tier as Tony D, Soul and Shox. Any of the 2012-15 mid to upper tiers outshine him just by existing. Ogmios would have been a better champion 100%. Oh well, at least we've got Quill now. Although that validates my whole point of any of the OG lot being better suited than him.
