I loved their relationship, even though sometimes it’s a little awkward because of the age gap. I’m not sure how old Madeleine is-my guess would be late 20s to mid-30s.Can I just say, I literally cried when Madeleine declined to join the theater. Even though Claudia nodded as that was telling Madeleine "Save yourself, I’ll understand," it was heartbreaking. And when Madeleine said, "My coven is Claudia," that’s when the waterworks really started for me.
I didn't really view them as "lovers," like everyone else does. I view them as surrogate daughter and mother. Especially when Madeline addresses the coven by saying "my companion is Claudia. My coven is Claudia." She viewed her and loved her like her own daughter even in her last moments. Even the film, which every diehard fan of this series crapped on, addressed this. Madeline chose to care for Claudia and protected her in their last scene together when they both torched up. And I happen to like the film over season 2. Season 2 was okay but it got way too uncomfortable with the glamorized gaslighting and abusive vibes I was getting with Armand.
@@duncanarielgomezbadillo2452 I know, she literally says "not yet" when Louis asks them ... also I don't think that line was needed at all ... I'm aware Claudia has the mind of a 30-40 year old woman but she has the body of a 14 year old ... just a bit off putting to me
@@HomemakingandHomeschoolMamaWell, for Louis it didn't matter at all in the books... I mean, he was clearly grooming his adopted daughter and then blaming her for "seducing" him with Armand and Lestrat... When we know very well what happened there
I really like this alternate version of Madeleine's story about her german lover during the war...and her chemistry with Claudia is sooo...perfect
The actress who played Madeline was fantastic. I liked that she kinda looked like something straight out of the famous Ophelia painting too.
I wished they had lived but I get that it had to happen, I'm still a sad about it tho. Thanks for the scenepack!
So upset that they only got such a short amount of screen time. They deserved better. Fingers crossed that we'll see more of them in future seasons

Because these books are really famous for not going in with the incest huh?
@@Anonymous-m1l8u I wouldn't really like to know haha. But I know Mayfair Witches goes hard with that shit.
I mean, Madeleine was pretty overt about seeing Claudia as a potential lover, she constantly compared her to her previous boyfriend
