- I don't think I am smart enough to complete this game, as it starts using mind bending tricks to try and kill me in Portal Reloaded, the amazing new Portal 2 mod! This is one of the best Portal 2 mods I have ever seen, and what a better time to release it than on the 10th anniversary of Portal 2's release. The third portal adds a fourth dimension to the puzzle game, making for extremely challenging and unique puzzles- and the best part is that it's free! This is part 2 of the Portal Reloaded playthrough.

About Portal Reloaded:
In this community made mod you play as test subject [4-5-0-9]. Awoken from stasis by an automated AI, you are expected to complete a very special test course. Within the depths of Aperture Science, secluded from the rest of the facility, lies a previously unknown and long forgotten testing track.
Expanding on the concepts of the main game, in Portal Reloaded you get a hold of the Triple Portal Device, allowing you to shoot three different portals. The familiar blue and orange portals, connecting two different places in space, and a third, green time portal, which connects two different timelines. Travelling between the present and a version of reality 20 years in the future, opens up a completely new way of puzzle solving.
Thinking in four dimensions is key to mastering 25 challenging puzzles laid out for you. This mod is targeted at portal veterans, who are familiar with the gameplay of the main series and want to expand their horizons.
Portal Reloaded is currently set to release on April 19th, 2021. Exactly 10 years after the official launch date of Portal 2. This mod is meant to be a celebration of all its achievements and an ambitious attempt to push its concepts even further. Have fun playing on April 19th!

I love how each game just gets further and further from engineering but honestly no channel has just this much variety :)

3:50 Actually, I think they were alluding to the "no cloning theorem", which is actually a real thing. Basically, you can't make a perfect copy of something without altering or destroying the original. Do you have any plans to finish this series? The levels get easier but more complicated, this mod really captured portal's ability to simultaneously make you feel like an idiot and a genius, such a well designed mod

you mention people say "because quantum mechanics", but in this case its actually true: the no cloning theorem prohibits 1:1 clones of any amount of particles. no idea how it works but its there

Fun fact, quantum mechanics does actually make perfect cloning impossible, if you try... you will theoretically teleport instead, because to make "the copy" you must technically destroy the original

I think I was struggling with those as usual but I think I kind of started to follow along. I think a better way to go about solving these is work back from the solution if possible. So start by trying to figure out where to get to, and then try to work back from there with the tools you have available
and that works for almost every kind of puzzle too!
I've just discovered your channel and I've been going through the back catalogues of uploads and I'm wondering if a part 4 is coming😅
12:10 I simply stacked the rusty cube on the shinny one and climbed over them. I then picked the cube up and placed it on the pressure pad. I didn't think about shooting the laser through the glass to activate the stairs
I hope we eventually get community maps for this mod. It will be great to see both some difficult levels and some hot garbage with time travel.
people should be afraid, the guides are out there, but the people who make the maps are too scared, so when they do release we all should be afraid
Still furious on this outdated "back to the future" take on time travel. You can ABSOLUTELY create an infinite number of clones for yourself with the many worlds theory in quantum mechanics I'm sure.

i did that laser level a much more complicated way, and ended up lighting all in future and present haha it was confusing as hell
i just realized that the green portal may be a rectangle so colorblind people can tell the difference

With regards to the infinite clones thing. Quantum mechanics does actually prohibit exact replicas so...
Neil Degrassi Tyson out there talking like he knows a thing or two... But I bet this will break his little brain. But RCE is on a whole new plane of existence when it comes to brain usage... 👍

To be fair, there is a valid point with this in relation to the time travel used in the game. It is fundamentally impossible to create infinite "clones" (or, rather, "future versions") because, quite simply, you will age, and one of those future versions will die, meaning the amount of "clones" that could be created is most definitely a finite number. Whether the delay is 20 years or 1 second, there are only so many "clones" that could exist.
Not sure what quantum mechanics has to do with it, just a matter of fact of the inevitability of death.
I think the game is referring in general to bringing your future self back to the past does not create two future selves that can come back etc.
Similar to how you cant bring the cubes back from the future and bring the future version of that cube back from the future.
No it's referencing the "No-Cloning Theorem" from Quantum Mechanics, because they deconstruct you at the end of the chamber, and reconstruct you at the new chamber.
But this "No-Cloning Theorem" states that you can't copy a Quantum State without destroying the original.
I want part 4... bring this back

The part with the Turrets, just checked it's room 21, was the only room that got me stuck for like 2 hours. In the end it felt simple and I stupid. This Mod needs more attention, just amazing.

Funny thing is: there is a no cloning theorem in quantum physics.
It does refer to a slightly different thing and I don't know quantum physics, but that's an actual thing.
Look up minute physics no cloning theorem. that should help

8:55 you solved oit because you pleaced the portals FIRST in the Present then went 'Back to the Future' and CHANGED where thw FUTUrE Portals Were but that Didn't change the PLACEMENT POSITION of your portals in the PRESENT (past cannot be changed) so you essentially ended up with 2 orange and 2 blue porals (4 total) in 4 Different places. (You nob😝)😂

Well... In this case the game is actually right, in Quantum Mechanics there's a thing called the "No-Cloning Theorem", which states that you cannot perfectly copy a certain Quantum State without destroying the original Quantum State.
So if consciousness depends on Quantum Physics, you can't make perfect clones.
Now it *is* possible to make biological clones though! Where the DNA of the clone is identical to the original!

The laws of quantum mechanics do actually prove that you can't use a teleporting machine like that, one that disassembles you somewhere and resembles you somewhere else, to clone objects. I don't understand how it works but there is actually a no cloning theorem

Mirrors are time portals but they only reflect light that is 2x further in the past as your distance away from the said mirror. Physics!
