Respectfully, I have to educate or refresh, educate those who did not know and refresh those who have forgotten. That particular corner was the location of a Walgreen pharmacy. The young people went there, it had a soda fountain and a diner. Ice cream. Milk shake and sandwiches. We loved it and yes we hung out on the corner. Although I myself no longer lived in Winslow, Arizona, at the time the Eagles song hit the charts, iI was born and raised there, graduated from Winslow High in 1963. I answered the call to arms in 1965. I served one year in South Vietnam. I was honorably discharged on April 27, 1967 from Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. I came back to Winslow and by October of 1967 I was in Las Vegas, Nevada where I now live.
