What Maj Gaurav says is a fact with regards to our Officers having no personal wealth. My father was a General from the same battalion as late CDS Rawat, both Gorkha officers, and growing up I never saw money. Yes we lived in a certain amount of style and that was due to the command postings of my father. After my father retired, he bought a house through the Army housing welfare. A humble home where he lived till he passed away.
