Love the inks that you pick! There’s the Sailor Hocoro dip pen with fine, fude, & 1.1 stub nib options. It has a feed that allows you to write maybe a whole page. It’s a lot easier to clean than a pen for testing shimmering inks and whatnot. :)
I love that you shared two wonderful Wonder Pens collaboration inks! If you are ever in Toronto, you will have to stop by the main shop. It is in the middle of our Little Italy, and one of the oldest patios in the city is almost across the road. Best espresso, latte, cappuchino in the city. The food is delish too!! Ahhhh, I need that Lennon Tool Bar Sesame Oil, my goodness!!
Ive started using ‘disposable lip gloss applicators’ for swatching and they are great! Small foam tip with no lint, and easy to use (and no brush cleaning)
I love how you keep up with acquisitions. My system isn’t working well for me. This may be easier. ❤ And that red/white Pelikan is top on my wish list!
Omg, I love that red Pelikan, have been lusting over it since it came out for Christmas. Decided to go with M1000 Renaissance Brown recently and it’s pure love. Pelikans are great! ❤ The red one is still on my wish-list, though. It goes so well with Garnet Red, will have to try that ink someday.
Pink Champagne with the Bungubox works for me. I’m so tempted to buy it, but I’ve got the Sangria, which is so close. I’ve got to stop buying based on color, I’ve got too many!
Hi Lori, Your video is very relaxing and enjoyable! Please don’t change it and chat along, I really feel like sitting down with a friend and hearing your thoughts. In my opinion the inks for the Estie „Flower“(my short for Kachofugetsu) and the pink Benu are just perfect. The Pelikan-Café looks so cute, like a little brother to the M1000 and the ink looks so nice with the M200! And the Lumpy-Sailor (as I call it ☺️) is stunning with that ink- that’s a 10/10! Are you doing an update a few weeks later what you liked or used more than others out of these pens and ink?
The "thing" or point about the flatness of the ink swatches has to do with the paper's GSM (Gram per Square Meter) value. Paper from Western companies (Leuchtturm, Endless, Claire Fontaine) with 80 GSM or less will not show the ink well. You'll 100 GSM or higher. Tomoe River paper is different, with 58 GSM will show very well the inks. I must say, I am a Montblanc fan! I have one 145, two different 146, and two 149. Especially the 149s I possess, one is a vintage from the '90 with a bicolor F nib, and the other one is a new one with an OB nib, I just love the nib.
I have an ink suggestion. Winter Miracle, a very dark purple. So dark I dilute it with some water.. also I see that you wrap your thumb around your first finger when you write. It might be more comfortable if you do a three point grip with your thumb, first finger on either side of the grip and second finger under the grip section. It is a pretty “standard” type of grip. Hope this helps. Thanks for your videos and love of fountain pens.. BTW, I teach people how to DRAW a with fountain pens here in SF. I will be teaching at the SFPENSHOW in August..cheers.
Writing grip is so personal. After arthritis affected my hands, I changed my pen grip. Now I hold the pen between my index and second finger. Hope to meet you at SFPENSHOW in August.
The Pink Champagne definitely needs the 12th Night....ewww Tuna & Olives...I hope I heard that wrong. I know u have some cheap pens but dang girl u got me feeling like I need to hit the lottery. Beautiful handwriting

You had me at latte!! I love to plan trips around pen adventures! I have to get to Wonder Pens! And yes.... you need Sesame Oil! It's so pretty!
I love the red Pelikan……what a beauty!❤
Thank you! I'm so happy it is a part of my collection! It exceeded my expectations!
your handwriting is stunning!! 🥰
Thank you so much 😀
The red Pelikan and Diamine Tranquility ink are lovely!
Thank you!! I love them both!! The M600 really surprised me. I thought it was going to be too small, but it is perfect! Thank you for being here! xo
That olive is perfect!
Thank you! I really love it!
That's so beautiful 🤩!!

What a great idea! I need to try them out! Thank you!
The cute little M200 Cafe Crème. I enjoy using my own.
I’ve been waiting for this video. Ah, such p’envy. What a gorgeous July “Currently Inked”.
Thank you so much! I hope it was worth the wait! I'm having fun with these combos!
@@timewithtata8004 Your videos are always worth the wait.
I had to get the Montegrappa Cover Sea Green too and I love it!
The red/white Pelikan is so pretty! I grabbed it in Broad too, but haven't inked it yet. I couldn't pass up half off either!
You are going to love it!

Superb video as usual. I have a single Graf von Faber Castel ink, Cognac, and I really love it. Very nice shading and well behave.
I'm sure I would LOVE it! Thank you for the recommendation!

The BENU makes the best line, imo. Very pretty ink in the BENU.

You are definitely organized. And yes, I enjoy your videos very much. I wish I had a camera that could focus as fast as yours.
Thank you so much! I shoot my overhead videos with my iphone.

I love the Benu
Thank you! That Benu makes me happy! It's like a portable party pen! lol!
How often do you clean your pens? Disassembling my new twsbi to thoroughly clean it scares the heck out of me.
I've actually never disassembled a TWSBI. I'm afraid lol! I'm always cleaning pens as I love to change inks and I have a short attention span!
Hi! Where can I find the Montegrappa Sea Green ink?
Lovely pen & inks combos.

Do you use distilled water?

Thank you for the suggestion. I know I have a strange grip... I've attempted a few times to retrain myself but I just can't seem to shake it.

Atlas replacing the Sailor 😮 that's A+++ customer service
I've received some absolutely over-the-top customer service from Atlas, too!
