@@reactions4u438 noo... John petruci will fired mike and request me to join his band... And i dnt want that i dnt want to ruined someone life as talented as mike 😂😂😂😂
I just dont get tired of saying how much of a blessing it is to have a drummer like Mike with his expertise to be so willing to teach and share helpful tips & tricks with us. After seeing them in Orlando, I can tell ya that whatever he's doing is working because his playing was so damn consistent and sharp from beginning to end.
I love that Mike screams out when he hears his drums sounding great! It's comforting that Mike has the same feeling us mortal drummers have : ) Peace from Detroit MI.
Mike I saw you with Extreme in Toronto way back and was amazed at your dexterity and imagination in the kit.You also seem like a very humble guy someone with this level of talent!
I love the new drum setup. Makes it look so much more natural. Thank you so much for sharing these Mike and for allowing us to be part of your journey. Awesome footage.
Master Mike Mangini.... So incredible at his craft. That if you don't play drums, you want to learn. If you do play drums, you wanna drive yourself to learn more. You know, to the "Mangini" level. God bless all that you do brothaah. Your contribution to the percussion home is nothing less then pure brilliance. 🤘🏻🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🤘🏻
Just amazing and so humble. You are definitely my favorite drummer Mike and I am so desappointed that you won't be present at the Lab Camp in Greece in June. I hope you'll go there one day !
Humble and inspiring, as always! Thanx MM for your existence and thanx to your parents as well, they must be the greatest parents on earth as their techings transpire through your ways!
That view of your hands is a masterclass in itself. I would LOVE to see more videos at that angle for different techniques. PS when you looked down at the camera I reflexively gave you the 🤘sign of the horns 🤘haha like automatically.
I can't believe his ability to drive the song with his right arm and accent with his left and then switch it up in an effortless manner. Watching his drum cam fills me with so much joy and then the sadness sets in that my limbs can't function like that 🤣
I really like how he make drumming looks so easy despite how technical the music they make/play. As a beginner, this really inspired me to sell my drum set.
Mr Mangginni you are the Best of the Best ... And one thing very cool to see you without hat ... Sorry for my comment but it's healthy to see you again ... ..( sometimes look like other person ) with all my respect ..
Imagine how expensive and time consuming was to ship and set up the large kits. Then you find yourself spending a good portion of the money you're making touring just carrying your instrument around. Reducing its size was bound to happen eventually.
Mike! Can you ask the sound guys to turn it down during concerts? I was in Boston and it was great but it was so damn loud I couldn’t hear the little nuances.
As insane as he is technically, he doesn’t overplay. He knows exactly what the music calls for: when to lay back and when to go nuts. A true musician.
Right, and especially in a band like Dream Theater, where the “temptation” to overplay is huge
I miss MP but damn is MM so freakin good
I know many people will hate me o dnt care... He is good but i am thousand time better than him but nobody know me because i never exposed myself 😂
@@Leo2-K upload yourself playing to your channel and we will watch 😂😂

That was a great show!
0:44 His laugh was in time with the music.
The dedication to craft is humbling. Truly earns his reputation as one of the world's best drummers.
Man that snare sounds so good.
That authoritative thump, like you've just been told exactly where the beat is.
That Rim shot in the beginning was great. Just proves you are human after all. Which makes your playing even more incredible.
He’s just hiding his alien form
Man, I love this 'behind the scenes kind of stuff..'... I'm no rock star, so this gives me a thrill! Keep it up!
i love when JP starts playing Nothing Else Matters and JR star plays on his epic strings
We need more drum footage of live performances!
Much respect going towards u for making all dream theater drum solo and sound for your guys song. Love all dreams theater music it's amazing
I love that Mike screams out when he hears his drums sounding great! It's comforting that Mike has the same feeling us mortal drummers have : ) Peace from Detroit MI.
I wonder how many other drummers out there who saw that and had the same reaction!? Cause that was perfect timing, and power!!
Mike I saw you with Extreme in Toronto way back and was amazed at your dexterity and imagination in the kit.You also seem like a very humble guy someone with this level of talent!
What a time to be in. Drumming legends able to tell us what's on their mind at any time.
I love the moment he hit the rim on the main riff bar. He’s a human! Love mike’s attitude
Human metronome and groove master!! He plays what the song requires.
Mike Mangini truly Master! Please upload more and more of these..love it!❤👍

I was just watching the dream theatre drummer auditions again the other day, so good. Your awesome mike
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one missing a rim shot in the beginning of the song 🤗👏👏👏👏👏 love the snare sound btw.
Im glad Im not the only one that noticed that miss! Fav drummer btw!
Thanks for letting us join in. Knew about the smaller kit but the no amp’s part kind of threw me! Loved the show in Raleigh!
Humble and inspiring, as always! Thanx MM for your existence and thanx to your parents as well, they must be the greatest parents on earth as their techings transpire through your ways!
I always enjoy seeing you playing Mike ... you're great inspiration source ... keep having fun and god bless you man :)
Please keep doing these Mikey! These are so cool!

Awesome as always 👏
Mike the Master Mangini you my dog 🐕
what a cool way to see you playing mike, very awesome clean and smooth way to play.
I could watch this kind of stuff all day.
Absolutely phenomenal! The feel and meter is so perfect. Each fill is metronomic. Thanks for sharing this. It was very inspirational
Nicely done sir, I saw you in Dallas recently. Rock on
グラミー受賞、おめでとうございます!!!

Greatest-sounding Ride bell (and playing) ever.
Amazing no-frills video! Hugely enjoyable. Thank you so much! 🍻
Mike is amazing. he fits the band perfectly. song writing has also improved since he joined the band.
Fantastic, one of my favourite drummers🤩
I love it, make it everytime u do it, i really like a documenter like this one... Do it more please... Its makes me gooOoosebumppppp
For as precise and clean Mike plays, there's SO much swing in there too.
Very inspiring. Mike makes me want to do what I do - to a higher level.
Incredible drummer, incredible band! The best there were, there are are and there ever will be!
Hey Mike, looking forward to the next zoom session!! See you soon 🥁
It’s just me guessing from seeing a bit of the venue but it looks like the met in Philly
This is amazing! I actually saw you live in February, and it blew my mind, but now I can really tell what you're playing!
Also, I love your cymbals!
I can't believe his ability to drive the song with his right arm and accent with his left and then switch it up in an effortless manner. Watching his drum cam fills me with so much joy and then the sadness sets in that my limbs can't function like that 🤣
Thanks for sharing Mike!!
I think I saw a video where DT said they don't do sound checks. But this is awesome to get some clips 👏🏼
Love this, need more videos like this....behind the scenes sorta thing
Sejak mike mangini masuk di D.T musiknya jadi tambah megah & terkesan perkasa...👍🏻
Amazing drummer/clinician. Peace from Detroit MI.
nunca te habia observado, eres muy bueno pana.

See ya in bkk on 7 May
Always love your sound Mangini
Mr Mangginni you are the Best of the Best ... And one thing very cool to see you without hat ... Sorry for my comment but it's healthy to see you again ... ..( sometimes look like other person ) with all my respect ..
I love this snare sound
Hey Mike! I call the last DT album "the Mangini album" 'couse you are awesome on each track!
Sweet! From that point of view, the kit looks pretty modest. I remember back when he joined DT, it had like 4000 toms and cymbals.
Imagine how expensive and time consuming was to ship and set up the large kits. Then you find yourself spending a good portion of the money you're making touring just carrying your instrument around. Reducing its size was bound to happen eventually.
Love this new set up.
One thing I just noticed is that Mike sticks always hit with the tip, hardly ever the “shank” Amazing precision!
I love this guy
A beautiful and honest soul.
Haha! John plays the beggining of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, Nice! (minute 5:23).
Incredible, Mike.
Just phenomenal
Sounding solid as usual Mike! Micromotions = Less is more
" Less is more... how can that be? It's impossible... more is more" - Yngwie Malmsteen
@@GreggMega Neil Peart said something similar
Not gonna lie, my knowledge of DT stuff is minimal besides their and Mike's legacy, but this was a great pop up in my TH-cam page. Fantastic job.
He is a humble down to earth king
amazing.....this guy and gavin harrison are mind blowing.
That snare sounds freakin’ awesome 👏
Best drummer ever
Good stuff. More jamming videos, brother. I'd like to see more of the kit, though.
Great drummer
Just Awesome!!
love the tight snare.
Dynamic Amazing🤘🤘🤘
Amazing video. Thank you for this Mike
So clean!!!
Nice fill at 1:02!!
Love the video man !
Mike! Can you ask the sound guys to turn it down during concerts? I was in Boston and it was great but it was so damn loud I couldn’t hear the little nuances.
How are u today Mike
Sounds great bro
Ahah! Is it me or Petrucci played a little bit os Nothing else matters?
Yes!
I heard it too
Sounds like it!!
He did at 5:20! 😄
I love your sound 😍
Cool to hear Nothing Else Matters
you are not even sweating. respect
Amazing MANGINI !!!!!!!!!!
Sehat terus pakde
Mike. Argentina 2022 or 2023?
5:28 maybe John was trying to play ‘nothing else matters’
Mike, your playing honestly reminds me a lot of Jeff Porcaro here, especially the fills
snare sounds very nice🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
any videos regarding the new and smaller touring kit?
even his laugh is on beat
Anyone knows why he downscaled his kit?
Amazing
Gracias
Now you understand how serious this really is..
Does not get the credit he deserves for his greatness. The dude is a rudimental robot.
Which venue was this filmed in? It looks awesome!-Tim
Grande Mike👍👍👍
