It gets on my nerves a little when people complain about Digimon evolution lines "not making sense". I get it, if you don't know the franchise the transformations seem nonsensical compared to (most) Pokemon but you have to understand; Digimon aren't flesh and blood creatures like Pokemon are. The Digimon and their world is a bizarre, haphazard manifestation of computer data, the Digital World has random stuff like inexplicable phone booths lining beaches, upside down pyramids and cruise ships sailing through deserts. It's weird but with that context you can understand why it's a place where imps can turn into wizards, reptiles can become wolves and cats can turn into angels.
They can in pokemon to. The difference is in Pokemon the difference is in Pokemon the cat would become an angel WITHOUT ceasing being a cat. Being both angel AND cat, which makes more sense.
Also Beelstarmon is named after one of the bigger criminals during the wild west Bell Star who turned herself in to the supreme court themselves when she found out that the real Lone Ranger was tracking her down.
Cyber Sleuth/Hacker's Memory are the only pieces of media where he uses the motorcycle in Blast Mode instead of the base form. The reason why is because Blast Mode was only added later as free DLC, so they just threw the bike walk cycle in there as an easter egg.
An Imp (Magical creature) Became a "Wizard" Some magic users in myth get powers by making deals with demons. That then became a Demon, which then became an even greater demon. That all makes perfect sense.
