This is gonna sound weird, but this kept me playing bassoon. After high school I started going to a school that didn't have a band program, so I thought I was done playing after high school (my major is cybersecurity). One night during the summer of 2022, I was scrolling through TH-cam and found a bunch of music I played in HS. Appalachian Spring being one of them. Then I found this video off of that one, and I knew I couldn't just stop there. So the next day I emailed the director of bands at a local college, and asked if they needed another bassoonist to which he said yes they only had 1. So I have continued ever since, though I am coming on my last year at this 2 year school and don't know what the future holds for me in music. But Thank you for creating this, it has actually kept me going in music.
This is insane! I played Appalachian Spring a couple weeks ago for my first concert since COVID, so this is a really cool coincidence! You sound amazing as usual, you inspire me to work hard and become this good one day. Keep up the great work!
