damnn, the exact video i wass looking for!! thanks man, btw how long do you think it will be the autonomy of the battery itself running that led strip. thankss again
Rob Lutz yea i guess I kind of blocked it off in the video, but the receiver does operate off of 9V-12V..even when the original assembly was in place it operates off of 12V..the rectifier (the piece I cut off) converts the wall outlets 120V AC to 12V DC..hope this answered your question
12V battery is good if you have 12V LED strip (like in the video). How long it last depends on the power your LEDs use and the mAh of your battery. So most batteries will last between 1 and 6 hours (closer to the 1 hour range)
Depending on how many amps you are running through a wire defines the type of wire you need. If your wire is too thin, you would burn them out. LED strip lights run at very small amps. When you connect batteries in series you add up their volts (so adding two 9 volts batteries in series would be 18 volts). When you add up batteries in parallel, you add up their amps. You need higher volts for certain products, you need higher amps for certain draws (like an incandescent light). The multiplication of the 2 (Volts x amps) tells you the power the item uses (watts) and how long it will last on battery.
A car battery is meant to provide a high burst of current to start a car. Batteries meant to light bulbs are called deep cell batteries (similar to car batteries they are just designed to provide an even flow of current). Using a car battery would be IMMENSELY expensive as your would corrode the plates very quickly. The battery's life cycle would be incredibly short. Buy the correct battery for the correct job.

My strip has 3 wires, a red, a white and a green. How do I wire them?
Did it come with a remote?
Hmm im curious if im able to power it with AA battery packs? Or should I use something bigger
Blindhitman 420 well for this LED strip it’s rated for 12V..2 AA batteries is only 3V so you will need 8 AA batteries
I lost the remote is there any way to connect the led light to a knob? To turn on and off.
Yes you can wire a switch to it instead..would be easy if you use a push button switch, just wire the battery like in the video, then make another cut on the wire and wire the push button (red to positive, black to negative)
How long does that battery last if you have the lights turned on 8 hours per day??
Depends on how many lights there are, but I’d say probably about 2 days at most per battery, but may be wrong
And I suppose if you want to add a switch and eliminate the remote control you cut the wires closer to the strips. Am I right?
Just put the switch in series between the led strip and the battery and it should work
What LEDS did you use for this?
You can use any LED strip to do this..I don’t remember the exact one I used but it was one with the 4 pin RGB strip
