Arduino Christmas Lights || EASY
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I show you how to simply connect your WS2811B LEDs to an Arduino and program it to make some cool animations. I am using a string of 100 LEDs which require 12V for power. Each LED requires 0.60W so total string of LEDs is 60W. Therefore, the current is 5A which the Arduino can handle. Link to Code: gist.github.com/kriegsman/756ea6dcae8e30845b5a

Motion sensor controlling DC motor. DIY spinning head prop I made for a Halloween party. I originally wanted to make a costume but did not like the way it turned out. - Notice that I was originally using a 5V DC motor and switched to 12V DC motor. This means I had to switch from 5V pin on the Arduino to the Vin pin. - Make sure you use a diode like in the circuit diagram ( I did not have any an...
DIY Neon Sign || LED Flex
มุมมอง 2.8K4 ปีที่แล้ว
DIY Neon Sign. For this project I used a flex LED strip which looks like neon lights. I bought it off of amazon for roughly $20. It is rated for 12V and I used AA batteries to power it. Also, I am a die hard Washington fan. HTTR is an acronym that used to stand for “Hail To The Redskins”. There has been controversy over the name so I am hoping that we change the name to Washington Redwolves.

    I did this out of high school for a few years and built some serious wealth. This is a great starting job for young adults to do for a few years! Great money right out the gate. Especially if you’ve only got a high school diploma or GED. You can make damn good money at a young age. Just don’t stay forever. Your body and mental space is way more important than a corporate company ever will be. They’ll find someone to replace you right away.

I saw you wrote xmas lights total power is 60 watts at 12v equalling 5 amps.. is there a new arduino that outputs 12 volts? Or is it because of the twinkle function there is only a certain amount of lights on at any given moment?

    you call this hard we did this with hand pull pallet trucks no machines for 6 years starting at 6 am sometimes you'd have to do it with a bad pallet truck which made the weight twice as heavy to pull in a warehouse twice this size and unloading shipping containers full of wine by hand 3-4 a day on your own , no pallets on those containers just boxes and crates of wine stacked

    So much bantering in the comment section of people that chose warehouse jobs. The only advice I really have is GO TO COLLEGE. Go to college, and you'll avoid being scammed into being legalized slave labor for the rest of your life. These brain-dead roles are for those who only have very basic job skills and no greater ambitions in life. Or ex-cons that did time in prison and are attempting to get back into the workforce. I chose to further my education after high school. Got my degree in science, and now I'm a full-time laboratory research technician that sees more money in one day by preforming phlebotomy and conducting case studies on animal behaviorisms, compared to what anyone in a warehouse gets in a single week moving boxes from one end of a building to another. So, it's pretty obvious what the greater decisions in life are when it comes to a job vs. an actual career. McDonald's isn't a career no matter how much they try to trick people into thinking it is, and neither is Amazon (unless you're the franchise owner or CEO of either). If you're a high school dropout that can barely read and write, then companies like this and many others don't need to give a rats ass about valuing you as an employee. And believe me when I say: (they don't). How much you get out of life depends on how much effort you put into it. So don't be lazy. Don't be a fuck-up. (Stay. In. School).

      @Alex Lin well, I too struggled with learning disabilities. I had a very mild form of autism along with pervasive developmental disorder. But that didn't stop me from taking on the Sciences. Although I suppose things don't always go the same for everyone. Most people can't become astronauts anyway because once people get into the role of Space Science, they don't retire anytime soon. There are far and few job opportunities in things like that and oceanography. Those are very hard careers to get and once someone does land that sort of career, they hang onto it until they retire.

      College is a scam. This is reality. Your job is some specialized stuff with the pay equivalent of owning a business. Being a worker is different from owning a business and both have pros and cons. If you know what you are doing in any field you will never work a day in your life.
