Man, Kristen. If you were bawling your eyes out over this movie, I don’t know how you’ll stomach the next two.
I still can't rewatch the end of the third one. I was ugly-sobbing for twenty minutes in the cinema the first time I saw it. No kidding. Couldn't stop.
I know how she feels, I recently rewatched the third movie. My eyes were watering
@@bbcseriesfanthird movie was cry p*rn for you? I wouldn't brag about that here. Get help.
You need electrolytes for sure!!!
@@bbcseriesfan get help.
Andy Serkis should’ve gotten a goddamn Oscar for this performance! I’ve never heard such silence from pure shock in a theater as when Ceaser said NO.
He's definitely getting a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The problem is that it takes a team to bring Caesars entire character to life, while Andy Serkis definitely performed remarkably well, animators still have to go in afterwards and make certain adjustments, so then if Andy Serkis wins an Oscar, what about the animators and everyone else who worked on creating Caesar and all the other apes... It's technically animation so this and other technicalities is why Andy didn't get an Oscar.
@@questofthegamingdogThey have the Best VFX award for them.
Hell yeah that scene was freaking amazing in theaters.
Oscar for like 5 words. Are you mental?
However, his performance for motion capture is great, but it takes a team to make Ceaser come to life.
Vfx deserve Oscar
I remember this fight between Caesar and Malfoy the first time. The theaters went on cheering in the 2011 release. But when the moment Caesar said "NO!", the entire theater went dead silent. What an amazing moment!
Love how we all just accept it's Malfoy 😂
Yo i remember😂
“And Malfoy” 😂😂😂😂😂
One animal I don't want to be locked in a room with is a chimpanzee 😮 I'd rather be locked in a room with a lion
Kristen is not going to survive this series 😢.
😭😭 seriously.
@caylinbeukes9947 especially the 3rd movie she gonna lose it
Dang, I can't take Kristen bawling like that, it's killing me. I gotta watch this in parts 😂
Annoying
@@carladavis1473 If by annoying you mean endearing and heartfelt, then yes. 😂
I feel bad for laughing when she started twitching seeing the clothes being ripped off the ape😭
@@HowToEatChihuahuaI was looking for this comment😭🤣
"Apes together strong" powerful line in this series.
Yes, iconic.
When koba says it it hits harder
@@Mystify0324Koba doesn’t even realize humans are also apes it hits harder when Caesar says it because he knows humans and the other apes aren’t too different
You not ape.
Kristen had me laughing soo hard .. she was already crying before the worst happened 😂😂
Awww Kristen is so sweet and kind. She has a heart of gold
If this is how she’s reacting to the Rise, she won’t make it through Dawn and War.
Does she…?
Damn Kristen, your crying got ME crying, and we're just being a "hot mess" together. 👀😳😭🤦
It's not a real cry
It is@@HighRPM56
I feel you, Kristen 😂 this movie knows how to hit ya. This whole trilogy, in fact
Don't watch logan
Not the recent one
One thing this movie reveals is the disrespect for nature. Putting an ape on a leash? People just don't learn. Edit: The day I saw the apes gathered together & plotting, would be the day I went to lunch never to return.
Dude each one of these get better and better. One of the best trilogy period
This is a fantastic reboot of the Planet of the Apes series. It is so clever in that it does not actually remake the originals and does not try to do what Tim Burton tried to to do with it.
Tim Burton did a pretty good job with his version imo. But I do agree with you in that was done in a clever way.
It's more a prequel or an origin story than a reboot actually.
This recent trilogy (soon to be quadrilogy with the release of Kingdom) does not discard the 1968 film, it gives it a background and build on it instead. That's the genius of it (that and amazing filmaking/acting)
@@vincentdesjardins1354especially since you can actually see the original being played on the TV the other dude was watching before being told to go to the Watchtower
Kingdom seems as tho its the start of a new trilogy tbh. But i agree with everything else.@vincentdesjardins1354
@@vincentdesjardins1354 Actually, it's clearly a reboot, or a different timeline/universe with Rise being a loose remake of Conquest, and Dawn being a loose remake of Battle. Trying to say it's an origin story, or prequel to PotA 68 just doesn't fit as the reason for humanity's downfall in the original was nuclear war whereas in the Caesar reboot trilogy it's the "simian flu."
8:40 "why would you do that to your father?"
What more do they have to lose? He's already lost his mind.
Kristen's reaction is great, I am looking forward to seeing her breaking down in the next sequels in this Planet of the Apes franchise. 😭
I saw this in theaters. When Caesar spoke, the whole room was deathly quiet, like our souls had been sucked out of our bodies, and for those few seconds of silence, we felt like the inferior species humans were destined to become. I broke the silence with a loud, "YES!" Lol
This is the MOST INTENSE reaction I see on YT Hope you can make it thru the trilogy.
You are a pure soul. And thanks dude for being supportive she need you there.
He was about as supportive as a condom machine in the Vatican
I enjoyed this reaction, glad you guys stayed till the end for the credits.
😂
As someone who has watched all 9 Planet Of The Apes movies, I have noticed that the 3 Andy Serkis movies are essentially reboots of the 3rd, 4th, & 5th Roddy McDowall movies; Rise (2011) is Escape (1971), Dawn (2014) is Conquest (1972), & War (2017) is Battle (1973). The trailer for Kingdom makes me hopeful that we will get modern day reboots of the Original (1968) & Beneath (1970) as well.
Fun fact: Koba is actually a bonobo. They’re usually much more peaceful than chimps, but he’s different because of all the abuse he’s faced from humans.
6:55 as someone who works with primates I've got to break it to you.... no you couldn't
12:12 This scene is not only powerful but also one of my favorite moments in the franchise.
Man she’s gonna be a wreck the next 2 movies 😂
"Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!", nice reference to Lost in Space, Michael!
My theater was stunned when Cesar first spoke.
Andy Serkis gives an amazing performance as Caesar through acting and motion capture performances! I highly recommend you two to do a reaction videos on Dawn and War next. I’m so fired up for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
I'm actually very anxious about Kingdom, I fear it's gonna be a soulless money grab with very ittle to add to the franchise and won't be nearly as good as any Caesar trilogy entry.
I hope to be proven wrong !
hahah "he failed police course because he is *too* nice"
What a kind Kristen and she is so sweet
Kristen's heart is a kind of gold...An Genuine empathetic reaction
Harambe's Last Stand was hilarious. 😂
I've watched this many times, but never have I cracked up this much loool. Kristen's constant tears made this rewatch soo funny for me. Poor Kristen looool
I remember watching this in theatres and the audience collectively gasped when Caesar shouted NO!
I'm soooo sorry , I couldn't stop laughing the whole time. I knew this movie would destroy Kristen. And it did, spectacularly . 😅. Just wait till you watch the rest of the story.
Kristen ,no cgi animals were harmed during the making of this film:-P
The 'evil' one's name is Koba and he's a Bonobo. Meanwhile, I have seen these films dozens of times and they still make me cry. So, I'm right there with ya, Kristen!
Kristen is such a sweetheart. Prepare yourself for the next 2. This movie is great but the next 2 are next level... One of the best trilogies of all time
Andy Serkis should get an Oscar for his praise worthy performance... He was Golum He was Kingkong and He was caesor 😊
Caesar. And yes I agree. Andy deserved an Oscar through his incredible performances.
cessor? ain't that a pokémon? lol
@@ProbieKnoxisn't it scizzor or something
@@vanshmahajan8960 , I know. I was simply making a joke, but not everyone undertands that I guess...
@@ProbieKnox oh my bad
Can we get Kristen to watch Old Yeller or Marley And Me? 😆
Michael is so effortlessly funny....the Harambe joke got me so hard that I had to pause just to laugh for the next 15 minutes 🤣🤣🤣
I agree but Michael's whole "narrating the scenes as they happen" thingy was a little annoying specially when he spoiled the plot of Dawn to Kristen but I hope she didn't paid attention to him when he said that.
@@ProbieKnox his constant interjections nearly made me turn the reaction off it was so annoying
@@ellehcimbelle, Yeah... That happened to me too but I got over it because I clicked the video because I saw Kristen in the thumbnail.
Just want to hug Kristen, she's adorable with her reactions. 🥰
Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2011
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 2014
War of the Planet of the Apes 2017
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 2024 coming in May 10th 3 weeks from now.
Hahahah she's bawling her eyes out. That's hilarious!😆
also im SO HAPPY yall are doing this trilogy!! These are like some of my most favourite movies. ❤ the ending of War is gonna have Kristen bawling her eyes out even more 😂
Oh, Kristen, sweet heart, you're not ready for the sequels.
Caesar’s first ‘NO’ is the ultimate bootyhole clench moment. They hit you with the funny nostalgia line to lower your defenses and then-NOOOOOOOO!!!
👁️👄👁️
“ayo wat”
Might be because I've seen the older movies but viewing Caesar as a pet never really crossed my mind. It was interesting watching her go through it like he was a lost dog.
19:58 he wasn’t asking for permission. Koba knows the drill, and he was asking for more cookies. His whole life was experiments and science labs. 😊
Thanks Michael for "holding it down" for us. 👍💖🙂
21:43 Koba is actually a Bonobo.
Which shows how much they abused him to make him turn out like that.
The most decile ape, compared to chimps which can be the most violent
Oh the irony
Kristen is the main reason to watch this channel
These 3 movies together is genuinely one of the best stories told on film, it's up there with back to the future for
Loved your reaction as always💗
You should check out society of the snow, i would love to hear what you have to say about that one
Kristen has a heart of gold
*Glass*
Kristen DOES NOT like conflict! 😬
I love when they all stand up at the end just like Caesar. Awesome
The entire Trilogy is a guide on leadership... Incredible storytelling
Hey you lovely folks, I loved your reactions to this movie!! Subscribed ❤
One of the best movie franchises in modern times, can't wait to see you guys react to the others.
Fun fact that I didn't know until looking behind the scenes - the clerk who James Franco talks to about getting Caesar released back into his custody also does the motion capture for the orangutan Maurice! Probably my favourite character in the trilogy ~
Loved the reaction. Great job! IF yall are up for it, would love to see the reaction to the sequels
I love all the planet of the apes movies, all 3, now 4 is amazing!
Man.....can we ALL just give Kristin a virtual hug?😭🤗
I had to sub to see the reactions to the next couple movies. ❤
Just a week ago kristen said i want to own a zoo and today her heart feels the pain of animals😂😂😂
I know poaching and running a zoo are different but still both are cruel!
Zoos actually treat their animals with the love and respect they deserve (in most places anyway).
@@passionsquietrage ... and in many cases they contribute to the preservation of endangered species.
Krinsten was not serious about the zoo, just a thing you say knowning perfectly well you'll never act on it IRL.
@@passionsquietrageso living in a confined space in captivity is ok with you
See how you like it
Zoos are evil
Gathered courage to rewatch this movie after many years just to sob again😭
I love how Kristen was literally crying @ every moment - especiaslly when Ceasar was passing out cookies to all of his fellow inmates 🤣
Andy Serkis nailed this film
RIP Buck! You will never be forgotten!
Great reaction love this movie
I love you Kristen! You have the sweetest kindest soul ever!! 😘
No... that Bonobo not evil, he's the Joker for Caesar 😂
"Harambe's last stand " 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Harambe's Last Stand?? You monster, Michael!!
You're not too emotional Kristen. You just GOT this movie.
Poor Kristen 😢
kept laughing every time kristen was crying, she would be normal one moment then instant tears the next
1:40 "one grape?! 🤨" LMAOOO i thought the same thing the first time i watched that scene
No Kristen, you do NOT want a chimpanzee as a pet. No!
Bro Kristen is literally the SWEETEST person ever 🥺🥺
This is the first time I've seen someone who cries harder than me during these movies, just made me cry even more lol
Mate if you found a chimpanzee in you’re garage it would rip you apart…
Those guys are monsters.
thats why he said he would just not go in the garage and instead call animal services
thanks for the reactions i was planning to rewatch these movies for the new movie
I just finished rewatcing war yesterday, im really looking forward to the next one and the other two after.
Kristen was me when I first saw this movie! 😂 I feel you girl!
Bruh kristen😂
This is a great movie. But when director Matt Reeves took over the next two films, it made this franchise legendary. Rise is a really good movie as the beginning but dawn and war took it to the next level. The best franchise ever.
Every film is as good or better than this. Hard as it is to believe but you are in for a special treat.
Man we just need Kristen to have her own channel just cryin and talking at the same time. Lol. These movies really be getting to her.
I just finished Rise and Dawn by watching on Dailymotion. There were no subtitles on there for the sign language so I just thought it was a bold choice from the directors to let the audience try to figure it out from body language. Now I gotta watch them again to see what I missed.
That "Pottah" by micheal was very accurate.....for a moment i thought Draco Malfoy said it.
same, Kristen, same. I also relate a lot to Caesar, so it's doubly emotional!
3:05 funny how he was hung up in the fact the chimps didn’t have Alzheimer’s but he’s missing the whole point, that the brain itself could generate more neural pathways and possibly more neurons, which is very hard and a huge deal.
bro said harambe's last stand😭😭😭😭😭
Notice the giant headphones and microphones... that's how people in loud vehicles talk.
They just don’t know how impactful that No is.. Just went back and watched the original planet of the apes and there are so many call backs to the original movie with this one scene that this could not be a reboot but in fact could be an alternate past that was created by the original movies leaving off with a cliffhanger.. though the one thing that didn’t change was that the first recorded speech of the Apes was one Ape saying No!!! If that’s the case that this is an alternate timeline then as for as storytelling this is right there with The lord of the rings as being the best one of the best fiction writing I have ever witnessed..
The after commentary was hilarious. You are a good hearted girl Kristen. We need to start a pool for how many tissues she used the next movie.
Andy Serkis is a master of motion capture - also did King Kong, Gollum of course, Captain Haddock in Tin Tin and Jungle Book.
A brilliant stage and screen actor and director in his own right. Really nice man and so polite. He owns a massive motion capture studio near where I live in London and it's amazing in there 🤓🇬🇧
while Kristen is finding it hard to stop crying, He is watching the movie like it is a comedy
So glad to see you are enjoying yourself. Your friend Kristen is a little messed up 😂
See, Michael, you missed out on all those years of your friend's great ape parties!
