Nearly all parents stop their kids from playing and pursuing career in sports bcz there is very little scope, they force their kids to become IT specialists, doctors, engineers because there is some level of surety of job. And to be fair we can't blame those parents, we have been a poor country for a long time so they naturally worry about their children.

I can't tell if people watching play basketball or not honestly. India's offense is pretty good and ball movement is there but our defence is lacking heavily, Japan was getting open looks at 3 constantly and our off ball movement was hella weak 🥲
Yeah the defense was so disorganized and no court awareness...everyone was just running for the ball not watching their man

no tactics fr in defense...Japan knew they cannot contest physically. Ofc they gonna use the 2 pointers strat. And leaving the sharpshooter unmarked for so many shots was a blunder.
No I think the points structure is really bad if there is a good shooter in the team then other team have to work very hard they should change the rules from 1,2 points to 2,3 points. Not everyone is three points shooter with this point structure they killing the compitition.
As a Pakistani I did not expect the Indian team to play so well but the foot speed, communication and offensive iq was pretty bad. India's length kept them in the game offensively it was a lot of brute force.
So sad...i had no idea when this was even aired on TV....had enough of cricket....India is huge country full of talents...We can be the hub of every sports if we support our youth...But every one is crazy about bat ball

Our defense was all over the place. Japan was left open to settle in for those 3 pointers pretty comfortably. We on the other hand were squandering any 3 pointer opportunities when they came. Drive in offense wise we were really quite alright.
