Back yard mechanics love it anybody that has money can send it out and gave it built but not everyone can or will lay on a gravel driveway and work on a vehicle I use to work on mine in the street (long time ago)
Hey Steve the leaf springs need to go in order according to length. So the new one will go one or two down from the top.its not giving any lift where it is now.its got to be compressed to give lift.peace!
Hey bud If I were you I’d go an put those add a leafs in with the rest of the pack in the spring clamps, the leafs will twist and possibly hit the back of the tire. Happened to me before cause I was lazy. And ended up costing me a tire. Other than that good work
No he put the bolt through it but didnt take the outside claps apart and put it in them. I would have took the clips off and made it part of the pack. That one leaf could twist because it's not part of the whole pack
You guys are right. I've got a 99 Denali that has that exact problem. The springs slide apart. The reason mine does this is because someone took the pack apart and I guess couldn't get the clamps back on the ends of the springs....
If it is still like that I would grab 2 small u bolts and 2 pieces of flat steel, find u bolts that fit nice and tight, then drill holes in your flat steel, then bolt it down. That way you dont have to take the pack apart
its hard to tell in the video but it also looks like he put them in the wrong place in the pack. Looks like they are longer than the leaf above them. Should have opened up the clamps and disassembled the pack completely, install add-a-leaf in the right spot and then close the clamps. That's how I did mine
I'm pretty sure you add theleafs between the longest and second longest, or between the one after the second longest. That's what my obs rc lift required. Good luck!
One mans junks is another mans treasure. If it has value to you thats all that matters bud. Luv the vids you build the same stuff we do. A wedge under the rear blocks helps pinion angles bigtime..
You don’t need to explain yourself. We know you love what you do and the reasons you have for doing them. No need to pander and explain what you enjoy doing. Keep chugging
Watching your videos is making me think about how much I love working on stuff. I really enjoy your content. Keep up the good work. I can't wait until this is completely done.
love being able to follow along with someone with similar recources that is building a similar truck. love your content buddy and keep up the good work.
OntarioRedneXXX True it does seem you guys have it a bit worse than us I know out of all the used cars I’ve bought I’ve had to put new brake lines on every single one of them lol
I thought an add-a-leaf needed to be added in the pack? I always added it as the second spring from the top and put it in the spring clamps, sometimes making my own clamps. Without being held they turn out possibly damaging other parts. Don't mean to be an ass.
Loving what ur doing on this build Steve. I’ve got a 78 K5 on 42’s with 8” suspension with 3” body and the 42’s barely rub with a width of 15”. I think you can swing 42’s. 😎👍🤘🔥
I wouldn't off road it either.stock 10 bolt and open differential. Not good.ifs is crap too.whistlin diesel proved that.good call on this one Steve! ✌ ☮
Hey man keep it coming with the content...I feel like u could gain a bigger audience... especially keep up w the Tahoe it'll probably be the attention grabber of the channel(since ur reinventing the channel)

Back yard mechanics love it anybody that has money can send it out and gave it built but not everyone can or will lay on a gravel driveway and work on a vehicle I use to work on mine in the street (long time ago)
I put in a transmission in a driveway once when it was 10 degrees out. Needed the thing running!
Hey Steve the leaf springs need to go in order according to length. So the new one will go one or two down from the top.its not giving any lift where it is now.its got to be compressed to give lift.peace!
You are correct.
I would go 40 inch tire and use gm wheels...KEEP IT UP BROTHER!!! LOOKS KILLER AS HELL ALREADY!!!
soft 8 wheels are sweet with this truck. Gives it the right offset.
I have a obs Tahoe too nice to know I wasn't crazy gonna go hard and order that lol
Ya that’s the right look
Sendit steve I can't wait to see the next video on your channel say safe and healthy with your family i hope this will get better soon 😀

Same with my 98 gmc rouch country instructions stold me to put the leaf under the next longest leaf

I couldn’t agree more. He’s gotta stop worrying what people say, being all over the place actually keeps me amused, never know what’s coming next

Love the video Steven keep up the good work just want to tell you that you’re my favorite TH-camr and I like you more than ss717 and whistlingdiesel
I love how you always do the brake lines shows a certain level of dedication most people wouldn’t even think about that
He had to think about it on this one, that's why the front is smashed lol
He lives in salt country as do I, any older used vehicle you buy knowing you’ll have to replace the brake lines
OntarioRedneXXX all the cars are the same out here in Michigan
Atlas so you know the drill then, Michigan cars seem to be as nice as the rusty stuff we’ve got here
OntarioRedneXXX True it does seem you guys have it a bit worse than us I know out of all the used cars I’ve bought I’ve had to put new brake lines on every single one of them lol
Can't wait to get the kit for my Jeep zj
Had a 99 Tahoe w BDS 10 in lift w 40s on 24 x 14 rim looked killer
Bro the Tahoe is looking epic
Sweet 👍 it looks great...
Dont forget to looking into a re-gear to get rid of that sluggish feel, its what's keeping me from jumping past 33's on my OBS burban
Steve lookin awesome so far bud🇺🇸👍
I thought an add-a-leaf needed to be added in the pack? I always added it as the second spring from the top and put it in the spring clamps, sometimes making my own clamps. Without being held they turn out possibly damaging other parts. Don't mean to be an ass.
I love the tahoe. I am big obs chevy fan.
Sendit Steve I love this it Monster tallhoe it awesome !
Man that's gonna be a beast and I think your right 42 would look better than 40 it will fit the tire well the best
You need more like this one.
That’s a sick Tahoe Steve , the 40’s will be killer . Cheers
I love the gmc wheels idea
Look's farken awesome already can't wait to see it done
🤘🏼
Get it done brother. Keep ur head up. And keep on plugging and chuging
Keep it up man
That thing is a monster looks good
Awesome video today steve thanks
I appreciate your builds because the average working guy can afford to do them
You are going straight at everything head on... Keep moving forward brother... Love the channel !!
Coming along great!
Thanks bud
Loving what ur doing on this build Steve. I’ve got a 78 K5 on 42’s with 8” suspension with 3” body and the 42’s barely rub with a width of 15”. I think you can swing 42’s. 😎👍🤘🔥
I like those wheels. I think the 37s fit it well too
Its gonna be epic Steve
You're putting the big lift in for a mall crawler. You have to take it out in the mud a few times. The soft 8 wheels are the way to go with it.
Nice brother. Just send it l.o.l
Looks good Steve
I think a fresh set of factory wheels with a set of 40 inch tires would look killer!
Love watching every bit of the motivation man thanks.
Killer build
that ramp truck would be dope restored with a LS engine
Awesome job Steve!! It’s looking great buddy👍🏼💪🏼🤛🏼
You changing the gears for a 40 inch tire? Will want to or it will kill the transmission and rear end. Going to be nice when done though.
Im enjoying the upgrade in content. Your projects are off the hook man. Ill be happy to see the next video. Great Job Send it Steve.
I wouldn't off road it either.stock 10 bolt and open differential. Not good.ifs is crap too.whistlin diesel proved that.good call on this one Steve! ✌ ☮
So what exactly does the lift consist of? It's a 6 in rough country and a 3 in body
interesting lift. the add leaf must be max droop and locked it there
40s. DID YOU NORCAL MOD THE FRONT FENDERS?????
The illustrious Tahoe aka the big Henry 💪
Those add-a-leafs should be put into the spring pack not under it. Other than that good work.
You should take out the back seat and put a giant wall of subs and speakers and tweeters
Looking good
LOVE IT!! GOOD JOB BROSEPH!!! :)
Did anyone notice that Steve really does own a set of jack stands.
I had close to the same setup on my old tahoe only took me a month to explode the rear with 38s lol
"WILL NEVER GO OFF-ROAD! ' hahahahahaha
😆👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ima putt a 10 inch lift on a truck so it drives like ass and then daily drive it. such a moron.
👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🤘🇲🇽🤘🇺🇸🤘🇲🇽👍👍👍
Good job bro bro..
That thing his huge af
Hey man keep it coming with the content...I feel like u could gain a bigger audience... especially keep up w the Tahoe it'll probably be the attention grabber of the channel(since ur reinventing the channel)
What a 🐐 love the builds bro but I heard them c7 are good value lift c7??
This thing is going to be hella nice and are you going to do something for more hp or like swapping it or are you leaving the engine alone ?
Hell yeah
Steve do the gmc wheels they look good and it’s something different
Lol keep up the grind man
I have a 97 tahoe 4wd 4 door that Im trying to put 24” rims on some off road tires what how many inches on the lift do i need for it ti fit and work!!
Whys this remind me of my old truck I had ...
How to successfully put in a add a leaf lift with the leaf spring installed wrong.
Bro where are you from I’ve commented before about the allinator haha and now I’m hearing you need walshers and things need walshed haha I’m really curious is to where you are from I have never heard of this love the videos though my dude keep em going
Part out the f350 body and shorten put the Tahoe body on it, never seen before, and would piss everyone off
That would be sweet
What size lift is it , looks awesome
Is your rear tire centered(front to back) inside the fender?
Will the Tahoe even run
Weld a 2014 hd hood skin onto the stockings ez and makes it look great do as a video.. look up hd vortec hood conversion
Go with the aftermarket rims just get them powder coated
What kind of hack puts a FULL LENGTH add a leaf at the bottom of the pack?!? Those are designed specifically to be used under the main leaf.
Don’t forget to re-gear it the stock gearing will suck.
What lift is this I have same Tahoe and really trying to find a lift with highth like that
Another one off the list.😂
Did u have 2 extend brake lines
“Obviously “
It needs a good buff job:)
Tell mike to get this for his blazer 😂
Damn u just shitted on my 95 suburban with a 6 in look stock compared to the tallhoe
Haha 😆
What size lift blocks are those
What would you take for the wheels you took off the tahoe
Which wheels?
SendIt Steve the wheels you took off in this video
