    Thank you so much for your great step-by-step explanation! I went today to the collision center to check out the price for the headliner replacement. The guys said that will cost me 2K (!) dollars. He said they need to take the windows out to replace the headliner. I understand they have to get paid, however, as a single mom, I can`t take out of my budget 2 thousand even though my old car is in excellent shape. Probably, I have to learn to do it myself))).

    Thanks for the video. Have a 2016 Highlander that's leaking from the roof rails because the nuts came dislodged that hold the bolts. Have to take the headliner out to access them and get them back in place. Now I have a plan and a little confidence watching you.

    • @edwardsoma
      @edwardsoma 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i have a 2016 highlander too, there’s water leaking from around the 3rd row headliner light/vent. Isn’t the headliner glued? Where u able to put it back in?

    • @remcentre
      @remcentre 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @soma My headliner is not glued. There are clips that pull loose. There are some small electrical cords for lights taped to the headliner on the hidden side, so pull it down slowly so as not to rip out the wires. Just search TH-cam for how people take it out and where the clips are.

    • @DentBaron
      @DentBaron  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @remcentre if you are replacing the headliner you will need to disconnect the wiring. The connectors are usually near the dash under the trim pillars. If you’re just dropping the headliner, then no need to worry about wires pulling out. There will be plenty of slack in the rear of the headliner. Lowering the seats will allow the headliner to drop lower

      Tricky..I can see why it would be hard the first time r&I. A comment was made,why not glue pull instead of pushing..Ive heard from other techs they r&I because it looks like you've done more work and can charge more what is your opinion Dennis ?Glue pull,or push and please explain your choice.

    • @superkev2000
      @superkev2000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@victoragresti1777 generally speaking, pushing is easier and faster for hail damage. Also, you can't always glue pull. If the dent is too sharp or has paint damage on it or if the area has ever been repainted it will rip the paint off. Glue pulling is an add on tool more so than a full replacement for pushing. It can be easier to glue pull rather than R&I sometimes though.

    • @DentBaron

      I would rather push hail damage than glue. Because I can be more productive and cleaner with my repairs. And like Kevin said,
