    Well done! Thank you.
    How are the LEDs dimmed? Amperage lowered?

    • @rjracing38
      @rjracing38  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can dim the lightbar. Depending on how yours may be setup, traditionally the dimming or low power function will typically be on the purple or violet wire. Once you have power to the lightbar and the pattern running, you can activate a switch directly to this wire and should put the lightbar in a low power function making the leds dim down.

    I just tried applying 12V+ to that 3rd pin next to the TA wires to sync left to right and I must have done something wrong because my entire IO board is now a paperweight. HAHA I have no idea what happened, it was working for a little while then I went to change patterns and it just stopped all together. No functions working at all but no blown fuses. tested lightheads all working, just had to buy a new board on ebay.

    • @rjracing38

      beaker15 Tyler, yes you can. So if you want to run code 3 and flashing take-downs, grab those two wires, tie them together and you'll be able to then hook them up to the same switch/terminal on your device you're using to control the bar.

      @@daverogers7512 If your bar is in sync mode, then you just have to disconnect power to that sync wire on the board. On the three pin plug on the upper left corner of the control board, pending on how yours is setup but should be fairly close to my setup, if there is a wire hooked up on the third pin, you will need to disconnect that wire to get the bar out of sync mode. You are more than likely going to have to open the bar up to see what is where on which color wire.

    • @rjracing38
      @rjracing38  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      iMoses14, do I think it's possible? Yes. With a little wiring reconfiguration, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I would cross reference the current draw from each lighthead from the Wheelen side to the Code 3 lightheads and make sure you won't overdraw the board but I think you may be ok.

    • @rjracing38
      @rjracing38  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To ensure the wire is connected to the board, you would need to pull the top off the bar. If you are sure the wire is hooked up, then pulling the top off won't be needed and you can do everything on the control box side of the wire.

    • @rjracing38
      @rjracing38  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending if you have a Liberty LFL or LC lightbar, most of which have the same wiring setup, but to disable power to your traffic advisor, depending on what direction the traffic advisor is flashing, you would need to remove power or the following wires from your control box/switch; white/yellow - this wire is for the left directional, white/green - this is for the right directional. Now there is also a couple dip switches installed on the control board that control some of the settings of the lightbar with regards to corner operations, asynchronous/synchronous modes, warning/ta modes, etc.

    • @rjracing38
      @rjracing38  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, there are a couple links online via PDF that can show how the wiring may be setup and you would need to examine that and cross reference your bar and see the similarities and how yours is configured. Example, www.whelen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/14349.pdf

    I can’t figure out how to change my flashing TD patterns, can you help with that?

    • @rjracing38
      @rjracing38  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will have to leave the entire bar off and locate the wire for just your takedowns. This is typically white/blue wire but verify on your bar to be sure. Activating this color should activate your takedowns and your driver/passenger alley lights flashing. Once they are active, then you should be able to grab your white/violet wire, this will be your flash pattern selection wire, then briefly activate power to this wire for a second or so and watch your patterns change. The takedowns and alley flash patterns only have 4 selections you can chose from such as your single flash 240 or 120 ALT/Slm or a double flash 120 or 240 ALT/Slm. Then once you are happy with your selection, let the pattern run for 5 seconds to lock it in as your new standard default pattern.

If you decided to hook up additional lights or something else that you wanted active while you were running the Cruise Lights / Auxiliary / White-Orange wire, you then have to select what mode you wanted in regards to the White-Orange wire being active. The three modes I am referring to are low/dim cruise & Auxiliary both active(default)
