Attempted metal detecting adventure saved by sight!

Today I set out to hunt a remote beach normally only accessible by boat. I wasn’t even finished getting my gear together before I made an awesome find! BTW-it’s DANG HOT in Texas right now!

A magnet test could be done. There might be stamps on the clasp. Fingers crossed it is gold. Good Luck.

Dang you should have hit me up! It was hot but I went out yesterday around 5 and was able to hunt until dark. I got a new spot in Denton for us.

Oh man! I thought about it, but where I was is over an hour away from the metroplex and after scanning where I wanted to go with my binoculars was thinking it was probably going to be a bust. Let’s get out this weekend though!

I will be heading to Abilene today and hunting a bit tomorrow out there in Sweetwater and Abilene then coming back Sunday morning or Saturday afternoon.

@@brazosTX man the treasure stories out that way… Double Mountain, the Spider Rock treasure.. I used to hunt near Winters and that’s the first place I ever saw treasure signs. I didn’t know what they were until years later and now nobody can get on that ranch. I suspect the new owners knew something we didn’t! That place-according to my calculations-would have a direct tie in to the Spider Rock diagram!
