Hello Dr. question for you. Might not have an exact answer but I’d like your thoughts. Back in November my upper back where the thoracic and cervical spine me started aching really bad when I brought it up to my doctor he never looked at my back or touched me he just sent me for heart tests long tests and then blood tests. At the end he just told me well maybe you had Covid and you’re inflamed give it some time. I let another month of pain go by and I asked him if I could please get an MRI he told me I needed to wait another six weeks so I skipped that and I went to the ER. They ordered me an MRI And found out that I have a C6 and C7 disc bulge labeled as minor. The pain went from my upper back and spread to my intercostals in my chest and then even my lower ribs. Could the bulge disk cause pain throughout that entire torso? Or do you think I had a disc bulge as well as some thing like costochondritis?

freaking THANK YOU. My rib starting coming out this year (yoga, running, lifting weights) and it really impacts my breathing. It get's so tight that i have to sometimes brace myself to pull a full deep breath. I did your door frame tip and it popped right away with an immediate improvement to my ability to draw a breath in. I start to get anxiety induced by my shallow breathing. This was a HUGE help.

I had bad muscle spasms and I could feel and my doctor could see the lump in my back causing it. Every time I stretched or took deep breaths I could feel it but I had no idea what it was. Thank you so much. I got that rib-out pain after hammering a lot of weed cloth stakes into the ground-- probably with poor posture.
I searched for self adjustment method because I suspect that a natural self adjustment is better than forced external pressure. Dr. Ross who is an orthopedic surgeon, chiropractor, expert in massage warns against forcing the bone back in without properly preparing the soft tissue prior to adjustment. That can cause further traumatize the soft tissue making it more vulnerable to repeated problems with that rib.
He also recommends more effective use of inversion tables if we do so within 45 minutes of a hot bath or shower. After applying heat, I'll try your suggestion also.
If you were located in my area, I'd love to get DC care from you. I like your style of educating patients in self care. There are plenty of adjustments we can't do for ourselves. I trust you have a thriving practice as a great DC!

Thank you for these videos. I have various issues with my spine due to previous injuries, as well as with many other extremity joints. When a rib goes out, which isn’t very often anymore, it’s usually between T4-T7 on right side, causing sharp pain, even while standing, and especially now while trying to sit in front of a wide curved monitor doing home bookwork instead of my 14” laptops. I recently somehow jarred these out again 2 days ago after not having obvious pain in my regular 2-3 adjustments per week along where he’s usually needing to adjust my thoracic too, besides my neck, lumbar & sacrum. I had him adjust it this morning, then by 3pm it had shifted out again. Luckily this local chiropractor I started seeing 2 years ago after hyperextending a knee nearly 3 years ago & needing to keep it in constant alignment is only a 12 minute drive into town. So I was able to go back in & have him adjust it again, this time T4,6,7&11 were all out, saying all 4 ribs were out too besides just the vertebrae. Unfortunately less than 2 hours later, I was in pain again after cooking dinner. After finding & watching your video, I realized that the large sneeze that occurred when I was preparing dinner, plus picking up light stuff, and moving laundry from washer to dryer & removal from dryer is probably what put it back out, twice today.
However, after dinner I went & laid on a 12x18 gel ice pack, while putting heating pad on my stomach due to a stomach s ache & having been fighting a silent migraine the prior 6-7 hours. I ice pack relieved the sharp burning rib pain, while the heating pad kept me warm, besides the strange warming sensation in my back after getting up. so if my pain returns I’ll definitely be trying to door frame technique since my chiropractor only open on M,W,Th during the week, with today being a Thursday. Will watch your other videos too, of which I’ve subscribed, for other quick fixes I might need. Thanks

It worked great. I woke up with pain breathing and moving. I ride motocross and yesterday I rode the track but didn't have any falls so wasn't sure what caused it to go out. Maybe sleeping funny. I am riding again today and was bummed I might not be able to. I did what you recommended and with 30 seconds I felt a pop and it's back in and I feel fine. Thanks very much!!!

Do you have any suggestions on how to keep the ribs set? I had mine set at my chiropractor this afternoon and within an hour they popped back out. (I have possible eds as well) This is life-changing and going to try it.

I didn't feel any immediate relief from the two methods, but I have had this debilitating rib problem for 2.5 years (since covid pneumonia) and have seen countless Drs, rheumatologists, osteopaths and physios. Can I repeat the procedures please? Will they help to strengthen the rib articulations? Any pointers very greatly received, thanks
