This is a spectacular video! I've been to Lesotho twice before , with dirtbikes and 4x4s , using the Sani Pass route. A friend sent me this video and you had my attention from start to finish. Great video editing and camera angles as well. I'm definitely going to try out these routes. Thanks! You've got yourself a new subscriber. Looking forward to watching more of your adventures.
I lived in Lesotho from ( 1975--1981).. N.U.L. ( National University of Lesotho ) ..I have been to a village called Mohothlong. My family helped a young man..we invited him to stay with us... while he was studying at the university.. He became the minister of finance...& Forien affairs & Speaker of the National Assembly..
Throughly enjoyed this video...Sehlabathebe A4 is now completely tarred until after Sehlabathebe but the fun is still the same...enjoy your next visit, try going thru Thabatseka to Sani pass
Hi Andre, thanks so much for this great video and all the detail of your trip! I've wanted to visit Sehlabathebe for a long time but I'm never sure how to book accommodation. Do you have any info?
I've always found it difficult to make pre arrangements for accommodation at the park. You can try this number below however, their numbers change all the time. Monyatsi +26662537565 (he was one of the staff at SNP)
Even if South Africa becomes more richer than it is today, i really suggest that Lesotho keeps it's independence and never allow itself to be incorporated into RSA. Let's see where it will all end. I mean Lesotho and RSA situation
Enjoyed your content a lot. Just Got annoyed when Eskom cut the power while I was still watching. Nevertheless, I managed to resume watching once the power was back. Fantastic narration and excellent footage. Thank you.
Great trip man and really great video and content. Nice to see you out and about - keep it going. This is a bucket list trip for me. Is Matebeng Pass doable in a 4x2 Hi-Rider in the dry season? How safe is Bob Phillips campsite for an overnight stop?
Thanks boet. Vehicle clearance is most important for driving Matebeng Pass. Even a 4X4 on std tyres might be susceptible to undercarriage damage due to the large rocks/boulders on some of the sections. But to answer your question, yes a 4X2 with high clearance and with a rear diff lock would be okay (although I don't recommend it as the weather at such high altitude can change within hours. Bob Philips camp site is community run and is very safe.
I'm not even african, but your video really blows my mind. Thanks for sharing the amazing sides of the country, greet from Indonesia🇮🇩

You places you chose are breath taking. Do you y tips on how someone does not have 4X4,
If you don't have a 4X4 to travel to the places you showed
@@rosannakinloch4354 thank you. Unfortunately most of the places we have visited do require a 4X4.

@@ThrillSeeker This is a quality video. But the background music makes it difficult to hear for people without perfect hearing.

There are roads that you traveled that need nerves of steel. Very beautiful though. Thanks for sharing. 👌👌
LOL. Was not that bad. Indeed, Lesotho scenery is really beautiful.

@@anthonycolyn9180 not sure if any formal camping exists anymore

Power cuts a problem for us here in SA. Thanks for watching and commenting Lucas.
Great video! Sehlabathebe looks amazing. I there any internet/cellphone reception ?
Indeed a spectacular place. There was at the lower camp but not at the upper camp.

Beautiful Pace, could i do it in Np200??
definitely not 😄
I'm guessing there is no way in hell you can do lesotho without a 4x4....?
There are many areas of Lesotho that you could explore in a non 4X4 vehicle. Many of their roads are tarred.
