- We were headed to a baby shower for Abby when we got the bad new that our flight was cancelled. We had a layover in Charlotte, NC and were completely stranded.

Oh Matt and Abby, I’m so sorry to hear you were stuck in Charlotte. The same thing happened to me on my way to my stepfather’s funeral. I even stayed in the same hotel as you guys and had the $12 voucher too. When I heard American Airlines it brought memories; we had an entire shuttle filled with cancelled flights and no one wanted to use American again after that. 😅 I’m so glad you were able to make it for your baby shower in time! Here’s to a wonderful and better trip home. :)

I recommend not moving to Charlotte since you are going to have kids, move to somewhere like Wilmington or apex. I know you aren't going to move to NC most likely just a tip if you do!

I went to college in Charlotte and I LOVED living there! I’d move back in a heartbeat if the right job opportunity popped up. The only downside is that I’ve never had a flight go out of the airport that hasn’t been delayed or canceled.
I have been so lucky that I always been delayed and never had cancelled flights. Been close twice to having my flight cancelled. Glad you guys made it!
We here in NC have a complete different perspective on life.. the southern hospitality really does start here in our state. I’m a northern NY born and NC raised girl and I can tell you I claim my state now before every claiming the north. My mom even says I’m the most southern of the family and have no problem showing it. Haha. Hope y’all come to visit us one time at least! You’ll love the trip. Though our humidity kind of well really sucks. 😅😂

I actually live in NC in the Pinehurst area and I LOVE it.. I've lived so many places and this is by far my favorite so many nice and encouraging people!! Sorry you guys had this flight mishaps

You guys!!! I was in this sane mess! But I was in Atlanta. Flight got cancelled. 2 hour line to guest services. Once I got to counter no more hotel vouchers. They handed me a blanket and said sorry. I slept in the airport only to deal with 3 more cancelled flights the next day! I decided to get a hotel and I spent $300 on a hotel bc everything else in the area was booked!! I finally made it home exactly 48 from when I should have gotten home had my initial flight not been cancelled. Abby, you are a straight trooper! I just kept saying I felt so bad for the families with kids and women who were pregnant. :((

I feel you… I had to wake up at 4 AM for a flight that left at 7 AM from Rome back home in the US. We had to go to London and then London to JFK and there to the south. It was painful . 20 hours it took or more roughly. That was a week ago

You both have wonderful positive energy. You may have possibly received this advice before, but be careful when taking baths while pregnant that your water isn't too hot. Water above 98° can reduce blood flow to your little one.

My boyfriend and I got stuck in Charlotte last year! Thankfully were able to get hotel vouchers that time (but there were not that many canceled flights) . Oh and on the way back home we allllmost missed our connecting flight in Charlotte.. I've never ran so fast in my life😅

Our flight got cancelled on Friday in Florida too and we couldn’t get a new flight because all of them were all booked up so we had to stay in Florida another night at some really sketchy motel since it was the closest cheapest place to sleep near the airport and then we had to wake up in the middle of the night like you guys cuz our flight was at 5 am! Frontier never even gave us a refund for the flight that got cancelled and the frontier employees at the airport had no clue how to give us a refund so when we called customer service they gave us flight credit that expires in June…not even our actual money…worst airline ever. Anyway I’m happy you guys got to Disney safely…you are so lucky to be there!!! 💗💗💗

I am sorry your guys flight was cancelled that must be horrible to stay there with no flight. Everytime you guys post a video it makes me feel so happy to watch you guys adventure with the the baby before he comes. I can't wait till the baby shower gets posted.
American Airlines comped me that same hotel when I was rebooked to go to DC via Nashville the next day on the night of December 22nd. Fun fact, all my flights on the 23rd were delayed on American too. Nashville was -30 degrees outside when in Charlotte and DC it was about 20 to 30 degrees. Being that I live in Minnesota and have to go through the harsh winters here, temps really were something I wasn’t already used to.
I love that you guys slept in separate beds at the hotel. My wife and I do that when we travel because we sleep SO much better.

I got stranded at the Chicago airport once.. no hotels available. Nothing from the airlines. My luggage (that the previous flight forced me check bc it was a full flight) ended up in California and I was going to Germany. they didn’t even compensate me for having to buy clothes in a foreign country. I definitely empathize with you guys!! Glad you had each other because it was terrible alone lol.

The same thing happened to me and my two friends when we were 18 and 17! Same airport and we wound up sleeping on the floor lol then we got to our final destination about 16 hours later. And the food vouchers they gave us “weren’t valid” at half the places
my flight got cancelled to!! they all were rather delayed or cancelled so ik what’s your going through and how this has been a big problem lately. we ended up getting on a flight the next day and driving all the way back to my house after being at the airport for 7 hours. i am in florida now but i feel so bad for abby! ik exactly how you feel but you have all my wishes! can’t wait to watch the rest of the video 🧡

Morning TSA is the best TSA. Went through New Orleans at 4am last month and it was the best experience. They were organized, clear, not harsh... it was amazing. I will forever take early flights simply because of that.

Yaasssss you should at least visit Charlotte and all around NC. Charlotte has a lot of fun things to do! The Appalachian mountains are only 2 hours away and the beach is only a few hours away!

As a European, every airport I’ve been to has super lovely staff who are willing to help. Except the one time I went to America 😅 they were so scary I’m that airport
