2022 Safe System Symposium: Welcome and Keynote Speaker

On February 3, 2022, the SCTPO in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation - District Five, held the first Safe System Symposium in the state of Florida, where transportation planners, safety advocates, engineers, technical consultants, citizens, municipal representatives, and law enforcement officers gathered together to learn more about the Safe System Approach.
This session features the SCTPO Executive Director, Georganna Gillette, welcoming the crowd and our keynote speaker, Melissa Wandall, National Coalition for Safer Roads President and Alert Today Florida Ambassador, sharing her personal story in her presentation: Why is Zero the Only Acceptable Number?
