    If you are mind blown, then start your Pink Floyd journey with Dark Side Of The Moon...the entire album needs to be listened in one sitting but there are some amazing songs on the album that can be listened on their own such as Time (with lyrics), The Great Gig In The Sky, Us And Them, etc. From there, listen to Animals, also with lyrics...THAT will really blow your mind. Welcome to the rabbit hole!!

      Yeh, the song "Sorrow" is the perfect example of that (also at the 1994 pulse concert) - Soooooo many lasers and different lighting sequences - It is one hell of a live performance to watch and listen to, I highly recommend watching/reacting to it. Also "Run Like Hell" is another great example of insane lighting, also from the same concert :)

    • @jimo7593
      @jimo7593 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      PF was the first band to ever use a light show. None of them wanted to be the center of attention, so they created the light show to draw attention away from the band members.

    • @EdmundGerber
      @EdmundGerber 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      And for this tour - Pulse - they had 3 complete stage sets - one being torn down somewhere, one being performed on that night, and one being put together in their next town. Expensive as hell but what a professional way to do things.

    • @jimo7593
      @jimo7593 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@EdmundGerber actually that process was rather common for them since the Wall tour in 1980.
      That stage set took, if I recall, like 3 days to put up n 3 to take down. Thus one of the reasons they actually lost money on that tour...well, except Rick Wright who Roger had thrown out of the band prior to the tour, but agreed to let him perform as a "session" player and got paid as such.

    I was at this concert. The guitar solo at the end was so epic, that the whole audience was in awe. David Gilmour has a way of making his guitar speak to your soul. Even after the concert in the parking lot, we were still in awe from what we had just witnessed. It was an experience I will never forget. I don't know if you noticed, but the audience was still during the song. Also he was so relaxed during the solo ( as if he was sitting in his lounge chair watching a movie with his feet up.

I would have to say the next best was The Wall, Then Dark Side of the Moon back in 72 or 73 ( it was so long ago I can't remember what yr it was ). It was not easy to get tickets to any of them though. They always sold out in a matter of minutes ( no joke ). Luckily I had a close friend that worked at each of the locations I seen them in.

      I saw them in concert on this tour in the U.S. The weather was overcast with cloud cover so low the blimp didn't fly. I was the designated driver for my group; everyone else was stoned and possibly drunk. Even though I have an excellent memory, they all seem to remember the show better than I do!

      I am so jealous of you for being at that show! That solo is amazing to watch in a video, it had to be life altering to experience it in person. I also noticed how calm the audience was, I have to imagine everyone was just entranced by the spectacle before them and just letting that glorious sound wash over them. All of you had to know you were watching a once-in-a-lifetime performance.

    Thank you so much for reacting to this. I was in high school when this song first came out in 1979. I remember it well. My girlfriend and I at the time loved attending concerts. It was one of the things we loved doing together. There were a huge number of wonderful groups at the time and concerts were not very expensive to attend. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Triumph, 38 Special, Foreigner, and many others. I can not describe to you what a wonderful time it was to be young then. We were happier, relationships were closer, life was more carefree, and the music was spectacular. My heart just aches that young people will not get to experience life as we did as teenagers in the 70’s/80’s. Again, thank you so much for posting this video. It was a wonderful treat.

    Unfortunately you will not be able to see a live show. Pink Floyd is now part of history. I was fortunate enough to see the Pulse tour at the Giants Stadium in New Jersey in July 1994. It was a moment in my life, along with a few select other moments, I will never forget. Hearing that first chord in a live environment is a feeling you cannot describe. And then, from that first chord, thru the solos, you feel the "Worms" crawling under the skin on your back, your neck, your head. It is just absolutely incredible.

    3 members of Pink Floyd plus additional musicians. I saw them live on this Pulse tour in 1994 at the Alamodome in San Antonio with 47,000 fans!! I had 18th row seats on the floor. Pink Floyd started in the late 60s, and tons of young people are still reacting to them in 2020. That shows the strength of the music of the bands from the 60s and 70s. An amazing experience!

    The band formed in 1965. The guitar player, Dave Gilmour, joined in 1968. The gray-haired guy on keyboards, Rick Wright, is an original member. He passed away in 2008. The Drummer, Nick Mason, is an original member. The other two original members are not on stage. The others on stage are extras for the live shows which actually take hundreds of people to put on. The Floyd does not skimp in any aspect of their music. Roger Waters, the bass player and lyricist let the band in 1985. He still tours on his own, but he is approaching 77 years young. Nick Mason is touring his Saucerful Of Secrets Tour with guitarist Dave Gilmour. But circumstances are hindering both Waters' and Masons' tours.

    As I had stated from an earlier reaction of this version, this performance exceeded the studio version. I'm biased I'll admit, but there is no denying that the two solos David Gilmour plays during this particular recording is right at the top of them all. The feeling he expresses with his guitar reaches the depths of your soul. For another soul grabbing experience, I would suggest reacting to 'The Great Gig in the Sky' from their 'Dark Side of the Moon' album. You will not be disappointed.

    I'll recommend that you react to any of the songs from the Pulse concert. Pink Floyd designs their shows, lighting, special effects with music, to amplify and magnify the emotion in the music. They do it for every song. I will absolutely recommend you also watch and react to the 2016 David Gilmour in Pompeii concert as well. In the Pulse Tour David Gilmour was in his 50s, for the 2016 Pompeii tour he was in his 70s and was still as powerful as he was for the Pulse Tour

    Welcome to the music that i grew up with! Music today can never compare. I saw them way back in the 70s in St. Louis, MO. They were great then and they are still great.

    David Gilmour's guitar just reaches in and touches the soul, doesn't it? Welcome to the experience that is Pink Floyd! The entire concert is epic, but may I suggest that you next react to "Sorrow" from this same Pulse concert. It's another beautiful & powerful song and the lasers are synced perfectly to the guitar; trust me, you will love it. It's clear that you appreciate great music and artistry. Good reaction -- keep it going!

    YAY! another Pink Floyd reaction! Someone might have said this already, but, Pink Floyd should ideally be listened to with over the ear headphones. it really make a difference. If I was going to suggest the best next song for you to listen to by Pink Floyd, it would be Money, then Shine on you Crazy Diamond and then Dogs

    I have seen them live three times and bought their album at the time, On the album version they get to add a lot of extra effects to their songs, because they had 16 tracks to play with. But playing live it was pure talent, and they pulled it of with class

    Unfortunately u will not be able to see them in concert, the guitar guy is one of the founding members his name is David Gilmore, the keyboardist is also one of the originals, unfortunately his passed away a few years ago, Richard wright the drummer is also an original founding member Nick Mason, i have been to 3 of thier concerts, dark side of the moon tour , the delicate sound of thunder tour, and the pulse tour, all were mind blowing, pick up the DVDs of them and close ur eyes and listen to them on a surround sound format, it will blow u away. Love ur channel, and yes i am quite s bit older than u 66 to be exact and i still get chills watching and listening to them, i turned my son on to them and my grandson they love it , happy listening an God Bless you and your futute

    Who else said to themselves that when she said "that guitar player is killing it" said to themselves "wait for it......?". David Gilmore is one of the best guitar players that ever lived and this solo is one of the top 3 that has ever been played.

    When you leave a Floyd concert there's silence. Everyone's stunned at what they've just seen and heard. The first reaction is to head for the ticket office to see if there's any left for the next show. Every other artist's performance you see just doesn't cut it any more.

    You have just listened to, what is in my opinion, the best performance of this song. I saw this tour in 1994, only in a different city (Rotterdam, Netherlands), but it was equally as good. If I ever die, THIS version needs to be played at my funeral.
