SCP 5126 refers to a cognitohazardous digital image.
The effects of SCP5126 manifest the next time an exposed individual falls asleep. The affected individual will seek out and consume a pillow, cushion, mattress, or plush toy. The subject's body will stretch to allow the swallowed object to fit.
Once the swallowed object is fully contained in the subject's stomach, it will vanish. The subject's body will then return to its normal shape. No lasting effects on subjects have been observed. Subjects are typically unaware of what has happened aside from noticing the missing object.

That manager must be the most confusing Chad ever. I guess saving the mattresses are worth the sacrifice? Must be really tasty mattresses then...
Its probably hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of mattresses, and a handful of employees who weren't trampled to death or at least injured badly. What else would he do, let them eat the mattresses and get sued or something by the company who owns the store?

I wasn't talking about the individual's thoughts here, but the US as a whole. Saving the employees would have meant making sure they escaped, like some of the others, not putting them even more in harm's way.

I'm happy to finally see new content that's closer to the classic format. It's now a merge between the new story format mixed with the documentary style of the older vids. The music beat that accompanies the debriefs signified a transition from story to science. That piece of music is little more restrained this time, but I can't complain - this is pretty much the kind of content that keeps bringing me back here.
I hope to see more like this. This is the perfect blend
I have only seen this video now and I'm pretty glad that there's finally some explanation added back in to the videos and that some lesser known SCPs are being covered again. I will probably be subscribing again actually! :)
The part of this that's difficult to believe is that a mattress store exists where more than one employee is working at the same time.

Same here. I love how creative his stories are so it's great to get longer versions of them, but I think I personally prefer this format. A shorter story that sets the stage and introduces the anomaly, and the rest is Dr. Bob explaining things more in depth.
It allows him to talk about things that would only be discovered after the Foundation had been able to do thorough testing of the anomaly. As well as things like "x is only known to those who have level 5 clearance" and listening to the D-Class testing and such.
All in all fantastic work sir! You do the foundation proud! (Except for the whole exposing their secrets part...) 😜
I prefer an equal split of both. I wanna hear more about the SCP foundation’s involvement, it’s usually why I’m here. Yet, a good story to start it off is what makes Dr Bob the best :)

THANK YOU for listening to your audience about doing different SCPs instead of the same few what if type things over and over. Seriously, these are so interesting. The what ifs are good every great once in a while but not for every single thing, and when you started doing them I got worried we’d lost you too.
my mother watches murder documenteries before sleep for years and never had a bad dream, I keep asking how she does it and now I understand. To me Dr. Bob puts me to sleep (IN A GOOD WAY) I watch Dr. Bob just before sleep like his voice is just so calming IDK why but I just love it. I always fall asleep to his videos more than ASMR.

Finally a traditional episode with a story+explanation! It was unexpected that it didn't end at the mattresses disappearing and they actually found the perpetrator. And man, memetic SCPs are the best!

I have an idea for an SCP, not sure if it’s already been done- but here is the story I’ve whipped up for my SCP;
As you step out of your car on this uneventful Tuesday morning, you notice something feels off. You can't quite put your finger on it, but you get the distinct feeling that someone is watching you. You shake it off and head into your office, the familiar sound of your footsteps echoing through the empty halls. As you settle into your cubicle and turn on your computer, you hear a soft ticking sound coming from the cubicle next to you. At first, you ignore it, but the longer you work, the more persistent it becomes. Finally, you muster the courage to investigate, but as soon as you approach the cubicle, the ticking sound moves to another one.
This game of cat and mouse continues for what feels like hours until you finally realize that no one else has arrived for work. Panic sets in as you frantically search for a way out, only to find that all the exits have been sealed shut, leaving nothing but blank walls in their place. The constant ticking sound continues to grow louder and louder, driving you to the brink of insanity.
Your body begins to undergo strange changes, leaving you emaciated and almost ghostly pale. You find yourself mimicking the ticking sound that once plagued you, and as you crawl from cubicle to cubicle, you hide at the sound of any sudden noise. While adjusting to your new body by trying to walk somewhat normally, the ticking finally stops, and you find the body of a dead colleague in a cubicle ,his body contoured and his skin an unhealthy hue.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, a co-worker clocks in, and you realize the cycle is starting all over again.
If the scp that is similar to the sentences above, then it cannot count unless if a scp does actually have similar to it.

I have a pretty good feeling that this SCP in some way shape or form was inspired by that one scene in ed edd n Eddy where Barron o' beefdip (Eddy) tells Ed to "Eat his mattress"
The SCP reminds me of the scene in Ed, Edd & Eddy where Ed swallowed an entire bed. I think this SCP is inspired by that one scene.

This SCP is literally an EEnE gag and I love the crap out of it.
These are by far the best types of videos you release, the full breakdown of an SCP from its information page on the wiki. The other styles of videos are ok too once and a while but the original style that you built this channel off of like this video should be the main focus for future productions in my opinion. Keep up the content!

Ik RoanokeGaming has decided to do that with his scientific breakdowns of movie threats since some like to skip the science section and I think that's already going to help him a lot so maybe you could find a similar solution that works with your format so people are less likely to skip either section? Idk, just a thought because I loved the first videos you started with for that section and would hate to see info lost in these vids just to please the fickle algorithm of YT
