We hope to visit the store next summer! This video is easily the best demo vid for this guitar out there. Everything said was correct and accurate. I played this model at our local guitar shop last week, along with many others. I saw a question here about comparison to the D-45/42, and I tried to explain this to my wife the other day. The modern deluxe D-45 is the pinnacle, but it’s not alone at the top, in my estimation. This 000 is there too. Both are 10/10 guitars with nearly identical decor. It’s down to a matter of taste. It would be like comparing your two absolute favorite kinds of food, car, etc. It becomes too difficult to name a winner.
Some retirees and smaller individuals prefer the smaller size/shape of the 000/OM. The tone difference is hard to describe. The exquisite D-45 MD is to my mind and ear, unsurpassed. It has all the power and clarity of the dreadnaught sound, but with all the sparkly and luxurious tone and responsiveness. It’s an experience to play it. I would say the bass and mids are different in their timbre, while maintaining an equal amount of volume and presence with the 000. The 000 surprised because it has these qualities in its body size, as well as superlative tone. There are tonal differences, and others can add their comments, but they are both incredible guitars at the very top.

Hello, Great demo of such a beautiful guitar by Martin. The Sitka top had some really nice cross silking in that top. The vts top looks good. I wasn't a fan of the aged toner they used on the Reamagined range. I'm doing a trade for a 00042 modern delux this weekend. Can't wait to try her out and place it next to my d42 reamagined. Great video thanks Dean 🇬🇧.

How would you comapre this body with the D42 or D45? Are there much different and what are the differences, I am trying to decide the 000-42 MD or D42/45 MD. Thank you. Will the D model be much bass heavy, and which one will have more projections in a mix. Thank you

That protein glue makes a difference especially after a few years. Thanks Joe.

Gorgeous for sure. Beautiful cross-sinking on that sitka. I would add that she may not have "opened-up" the way she might after 6 to 12 months of playing. Sounds just a bit tight yet. IMO. Nevertheless, a stunner! $7K+ I'm guessing.

How strong is the guitar ? Can it withstand slap and strum ? I really like it but a sales associate scared me many years ago, when I almost bought HD28V. Thank you.

Is it hard to get this as a cutaway from the custom shop? How long does it take? Thx

Howdy Joe, for 7000 bucks I want a guitar to play like an "acoustic" guitar! The fretboard appears to be similar to a STRAT too thin. Do you agree? Notice when you said "I love it up here"; high up the neck!! Martin should never meddle with the FRETBOARD only the body because that's where they stand out; tone!

Howdy Joe, Back to the fretboard!! Notice how much of your thumb comes over the top on frets 1 through 3: Strat! "MARTIN do you make an "Acoustic" guitar that does not feel like a Gibson or Strat? Bye Joe!!
