So i didn't fall or hurt it. It has been bugging me for 3 months. Yesterday decided to climb stairs as it hasn't been as painful and i hear a noise like "griiiiick" and I instant pain. Went to put my weight on the knee and definitely a no go.
That "griiiiick" is probably a tear. Athletes usually tear their meniscus usually due to a sports injury - climbing the stairs was probably as hard as any sport on your knee secondary to the arthritis present. Get some over the counter Aleve, wear a knee brace and don't bear weight on it until you see a doctor. If you want to craft a little with us, you could do an hour at a time and maybe prop your leg on a stool and a pillow if possible - but wait at least 10 - 14 days 😊❤ A knee brace will help too.
I had a severe torn and twisted meniscus that needed surgery and then sadly, ended up having a knee replacement.
As you saw, it is C shaped so it depends on how bad the tear. Is the knee replacement helping?
