    Great review Aaron- I'm thinking of getting these for WFH and music on the go. I might be wanting a bit too much but I just wish they folded for compactness like the old AKG n60 NC- would have made them perfect for me.
    Keep up the good work Aaron!

      True, would be great if these folded in too. Thanks for watching!

    You can always put on your headphones first and then put on your glasses so they are on top of the cushions. It works for me.

    About the microphone noise cancellation during simple calls... It seems to me that the noise is 100% blocked, as long as no one talks in front of the microphone (isn't it simply closed?). Then when talking is detected, the microphone starts working and is expected to deliver a supposed "cleaned from background noise voice". The resulting formulation is composed with repetitive sequences of silences followed by "dirty voice phrasing". The final result is an intermittent phrasing that doesn't sound natural neither qualitative at all (in my opinion). I think I would prefer the result of a constant level in the filtering, instead of that succession of open/close microphone sequences. In addition, the very flattering results that are sold all along TH-cam when using Teams or Zoom, don't seem to be related that much to the way microphones perform, but to the very efficient noise gates implemented by conference calls platforms...

      I have the same experience. Disappointment considering the price

  • @ramlin35

    I watched another review between the Jabra Evolve2 65 vs the 75 and the 85 and the 65s had the best mic call quality in noisy environments. The 85 with their 10 mics had the worst call quality under noisy situations. This is why I’m leaning towards the 65.

    • @kimberlyargete9774
      @kimberlyargete9774 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same observation, although the feature that sold me the 75 is it has a button you can push so that you can turn off the noise cancelling, and you can hear the people around you if you need to. Idk if the 65 can connect to 2 devices at the same time but the 75 can. 85 is already an overkill esp for the price.

    • @daeeilallah
      @daeeilallah ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah I tried the 65 from a relative and really liked it. So I bought the 75 assuming it would be even better, but my co workers told me so many times that they couldn't hear my voice properly. Such a disappointment for such an expensive headphone. Luckily I got a refund. I'm thinking to get the sony xm5 now, because it has a lot of positive reviews.

    You can disable the light in the Jabra App. Under Device Settings -> Headset busylight. The ANC on the Evolve2 is pretty bad. Lots of sounds leak through. I hope they improve it via firmware updates.

    Maybe someone can come up with a usb-c mic accessory that you can plug into the usb-c port of the headphone to use for calls.

    I bought the evolve2 65 one year ago and I'm really happy with it, but this hiding microphone is what can convince me to switch to the evolve2 75

  • @JimHassey

    Not a noticeable difference between when the boom mic was up or down. But still sounds pretty good either way...

  • @Mangust2
    @Mangust2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you plug USB. Can you listen music (or play game) and use microphone? Of course it won't work wireless (limitation of bluetooth), but maybe it will work over USB? Another $350 head set i buy was only doing speakers over USB and not microphone.

    Great review! Thank you. I have read some reviews that say that the Teams model can give a bit of trouble if you have to use them with another app that isn't MS Teams, that the UC model is better on this circumstances. I guess the problems arise when using the Teams button as it seems to always start MS Teams when you press it to answer a call. What is your experience around this? Maybe this can be corrected installing the Jabra app?
    I have decided to order the UC model vs the Teams one because of this.

    Hi Aaron. Do you know if the usb c port can be use as audio device then you can plug into a usb port and use it as a wired headset?

    Thank you for this review! I do have two questions about the boom mic. Does the headset mute if you put it in the upright position or do you HAVE to use the mute button every time? And how is the noise handling when moving the mic, can you hear thumping every time you move it or does it reject that noise?

    Does anyone find that their ears hurt using these headphones?

  • @pranesh76
    @pranesh76 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Aaron - I was horribly disappointed with this when connected to my phone. It just wouldnt pick up my voice well. When I brought the boom mic down, it was way worse for me. I called several people to confirm, recorded voice memos etc. I switched to the airpods pro, and every single session, the airpods pro sounded significantly better. I must have had a broken unit - :(. Its worse than the evolv65 I have.
    I was so excited to get the unit and was hoping this was going to be my new headphones which I could use all day. Could you compare this to the airpods pro?

      @@ramlin35 I would buy it and try it for yourself. All reviews show its great - so either i had a bad unit, or my voice frequency doesn't work well for the specific mics on that. Unfortunate for me

    • @dazz2649
      @dazz2649 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is weird, maybe you got a broken unit. I used this E275 all day and it’s sound perfectly both with PC and my iPhone.
      Have you updated to latest firmware or contact Jabra for support?

    Great to see that you're reviewing work based headphones 👍
    I currently use older Jabra Evolve 20 wired headset for my WFH. They do the job alright and are only £34 instead of £350.
    Unlikely I'll buy these with my own money - but nice to see what options are out there and how they test in real life using your tried and tested methods 👍

    I have the Jabra Evolve2 75 which you reviewed back in Dec 2021 and they have killer call quality. I own the wf-1000 XM4 ear buds along with these Jabra's and I love my xm4 ear buds, especially for movies. I would rather have the Sony wh 1000 xm series head phones because of the great audio and better sound stage but I decided call quality was more important for my headphones with my limited budget. So I own one ear bud and one head phone. The call quality of blocking back ground noise and voice quality is more important for me for work. Now that the wh 1000 xm5 headphones are out everyone is showing that the call quality is much, much better. It sounds like the mic background noise canceling on the XM5's are on par with the Jabra Evolve2 75's. Could you compare them please so I can hear the difference in call quality? If Sony matches or is close enough then I'll sale my Evolve2 75's and get the XM5's because I want to have the best of both worlds, great audio, with ANC and call quality with Mic Noise Canceling and excellent voice audio. Then I can use the XM5's to watch movies and have excellent 3d sound like I have with the XM4 earbuds but with a much better sound stage, instead of buying expensive home theater speakers. Please compare these 2 mainly for call quality? And if you do this comparison please test the recordings like you did with this video and maybe a Teams/Zoom call like you did in your Jabra Evolve2 75 real review video. I think it is a worthy comparison because with the 75's charging cradle they are both the same price and so if the XM5's call quality in background mic noise canceling and voice clarity are close enough then the XM5's are much better value since they are vastly superior in other areas as well. I will miss that charging cradle though. Thank you very much.

      Do not get rid of the evolve 2 75. Xm5 is fantastic when connected to a phone but using it for teams on a computer is not a great experience. Evolve benefits from the USB dongle to make it fully uc compatible. If Sony ever make a UC adapter (unlikely) then maybe it could be worth it... (saying that... Bose did make a UC version of the 700 some years later)

    • @doncarroll1070
      @doncarroll1070 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      C cool thanks for letting me know. That being said, I have tried the XM5 with Teams and Slack because my evolve 2 75 was acting up and my team mates could barely hear me on Slack but heard me very well on Teams with the XM5. But I have also had similar problems often, but not everytime with the evolve 2 75 on Slack. I ended up keeping both. The XM5's kick ass when watching movies. Unfortunately most reviewers don't talk about watching movies with headphones but they should.

    The evolve 2 65 ( classic) is the best headset period. The e2 75 & 85 mics are overrated and sound robotic and tincanny. More mics doesn't equal better quality

  • @rafama95

    That robotic voice quality is a no for me.
