Queen Isabel of Aragon was the consort queen of Portugal who married with King Dom Dinis, she is veneered as a saint her life of devotion in helping the poor made her one of the most cherish characters of the Portuguese History.

Thanks for making this. But I think you doing a voice over would be better. The robotic voice is both annoying and hard to take seriously.

How is turning bread into roses a good thing? Roses look pretty, but I’m sure the people would prefer bread lol.

Legends have always a pretty way of telling us truths, for sure in reality the Queen did some little trick or something else happened. But I think personally what that legend wants to tell us is that the Queen kept on helping those in need even with the King reproval. :)

She was feeding the poor against the wishes of King during a great famine, but when she was caught she revealed the bread and meat she used to make soup for them which according to the legend had magically turned to Roses.
