    Good job 👍. Put some lubricant on that hub gasket!!! Just like you would on a oil filter gasket ! A little grease on your lugg bolts will be good also! Great video buddy!!!

      It doesn't hurt to check, especially if you haven't in a couple of years, although your cargo trailer isn't exposed to salt water

    Just read all of the comments after watching your DIY vid. Respectfully, I’ll continue taking my trailer to an expert for such maintenance. Somewhat mechanically challenged, I see too many ways I can screw that up.

    You can leave the oil in there for 3-4 years unless it's milky then change it out. Oil is much easier than grease. I would say to put a little oil on the gasket before screwing it back on so it can seal better and maybe clean the bolt before you screw it back in otherwise good job!

    DO NOT put oil or grease on wheel lugs! I would put oil on the spindle where the rear seal goes over. I would also put oil on the aluminum cap's rubber o-ring.

    Those bearing need to be packed with marine grad bearing grease. Your bearings are dry and will over heat causing them to seize and fail. I carry a new hub with packed bearing with me on every trip. Learned the hard way.

    • @Fishing247
      @Fishing247  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hi Scott, I contacted EZ trailer dealer before I did the oil change. They told me that don't grease the bearings because it is the oil bath hubs. So I only cleaned checked the bearings and replaced the oils.
