I'm giving my age away BUT I saw Paul Revere and The Raiders while I was in High School back in 1973. I was blown away by the show. Paul was a total jokester even back in the day. A part of my youth died when I heard that Paul had passed away. RIP Sir and Thanks for ALL the music.
You are not too old. He's been around since 1958. Great showman. We're lucky that his chosen entertaining which was so physical didn't lead to a heart attack.
It was a dark day when this Rock'n' Roll icon passed form this earth to the Home in Heaven. We will miss his great music and his fun personality, but Heaven will be richer for it. He is there now entertaining those whom have gone before us, and he will be there to entertain us once again someday. I was there from the beginning, have all of the original band's albums and have loved them from day one. Their music, their fun on stage; and, if you have ever been one of the lucky ones who had one of his three-cornered hats sent flying out to you from stage AND still have that hat, you have truly been blessed for it! RIP Paul and hope to see you on the other side someday. God bless you for the legacy you have left us.
Paul Revere and the Raiders were the first rock and roll band that giant Columbia Records ever signed. His concerts were always funny, a great comedian, no one after having seen him perform left in a bad mood, everyone smiling after having grewed on the great sounds.
Sad to hear that Paul Revere passed away on Saturday at the age of 76. The man was a great entertainer. I'm glad I got to see him once, long after the band's heyday. When I was a budding teen my fave 'groups' (as we called 'em then) were The Beatles and Paul Revere & The Raiders. For a while they were IT. RIP Paul Revere.
Thanks for giving them a great sound even though I wasn't there anyone who helped Revere out deserves an Accolade. Long Live Paul Revere and the Raiders 1960 through 2014 54 f****** years of rocking insanity!
Revere and the Raiders were probably the most unique rock and roll group in history, he was the only one outside of maybe the turtles who mixed killer rock with comedy. Long Live Paul Revere and the Raiders 1960 through 2014! 54 years of rocking insanity
Ken Adams hello from Dallas Texas, the Raiders had at least 37 or 38 different album covers. I have all of them except one framed on the wall they look great together and he has signed four or five of them
Sorry to say but that person singing Indian Reservation is not the original singer. Mark Lindsay was the lead singer back then and Mark was the one who sang lead on Indian Reservation. He left the band some time after. You can see him in other videos with the Raiders on TH-cam.
ERS the lead singer in this clip is Bill medleys son Darrin medley. His mother was murdered back in 1976 and in recent years because of DNA the authorities were able to pin it on a criminal who died during a jail escape in 1982. I am sure the medley family was relieved to know that this animal has been dead for years.
Was Paul Revere the lead singer, or the organ player? What was behind his Ford Mustang front-end? Is that the Hammond B-3? Which would seem odd, because there's already a keyboard player with rack-keys in the background and off to the right.
John O'Flaherty hello from Dallas Texas, even though Revere had a keyboard player with synthesizers he have a smaller keyboard behind the Mustang front, he also used an Edsel Grill in the 70s and after 2000 he used a metro Grill. I always thought it would have been cool had he used a Pontiac 65

Paul was founder and organist of the Raiders. There were several lead vocalists; including Mark Lindsay, Blair Hill, and Carlo Driggs.

Just for others who are wondering; Carlo Driggs was the vocalist in this video; he passed suddenly May 31, 2017 at age 67
MARK LINDSAY WAS THE LEAD SINGER FOR PAUL REVERE AND THE RAIDERS.
