I have a drawer full of costume jewelry that I bought as lots on ebay. I never really looked at it before, but watching you inspired me to get out the loupe and take a look. Nothing special but I did find one 14k stud earring and 5 pieces of sterling silver pieces I didn't know I had. I took them out of the hoard and put them with the rest of my precious metals junk and feel like I did a good thing for myself. Thank you for the inspiration.

Times have changed at Brimfield, you never used to be charged to enter the grounds even when dealers were setting up. It was a alot of excitement when dealers were setting up. Dealers used to be turned away as the spaces were pretty much taken at all the markets.

There were things like that when you went out in your boat and you would put your car keys in them because they would float and there was cork ones. in case something bad happens you would tie the it around pants or short button hole and you would have your keys and matches flint and pieces of paper to start fire if you needed

New England has a lot of great old homes and treasures in them to be found. The victorian memento mori jewelry and art has always fascinated me but kind of gives you the creeps at the same time. It's sad that certain eras of time has such horrible epidemics such as TB and there were no cures. That got dark fast, sorry. Love looking at interesting antiques though. That jewelry display was just amazing! No doubt so expensive. I thought it was funny that woman was describing fighting over the jewelry. I can see it happening there.
